Would you mind listing your parts list. I cannot make out which parts you are using? Looks like a fun build however!!!

Don't get me wrong, but it is evident you have a medical problem with your eyes. Sincerely, get that checked.
A typical screen is low resolution crap. A 22 megapixel photo looks stunningly better on an 5K display than a 1440 one. Of course, you can't see it because of your medical condition, but there's significant difference for average people.

Anyway. Someone's wrong on The Internet and I don't keep false hopes of proving anyone wrong or showing you "the truth". Just, really, get your eye sight tested. Telling difference from 144Hz to 165Hz is very hard, but if you can't tell an obvious stuttering on 30 FPS from 60, you have a serious problem of going almost completely motion-blind.

umm, if he was watching the videos on a 30 hz monitor, there probably isn't a difference between the two videos....

As a side note (this is 100% pure guess work with literally nothing to support it), but the contacts or glasses themselves may have enough distortion to them as to negate the visible stuttering.

I have a question for those running more than 2 cards right now. I'm finding 2 Titan XP's to not be enough for 165Hz 1440p. So before I go about selling my old maxwell Titan x cards, I was wondering if I should keep one of them for use with dx12 multi gpu. Is it possible to just put 2 Titan XP's connected wth the sli bridge and use 2-card sli with dx11 games, but then just let dx12 take care of using all 3 under explicit multi gpu?

Also to contribute...I agree that it's harder to pickup the difference between 144Hz and 165Hz (although you can feel the more immediate nature of the responsiveness at 165Hz). But comparing 120Hz to 165Hz is huge and is very noticeable. You can close all fps overlays. And even with GSYNC, if my fps drops from 165fps to 130fps, I can feel it.

update: I dropped one of the old Maxwell titan cards into my system and while it is detected, it isn't being used under dx12 multi-gpu. I can enable SLI between the 2 pascal cards. And when running tomb raider, only the 2 pascal cards have usage on them. If I plug the monitor into the Maxwell card, then only that card is used. From what I'd read about AoTS and being able to use cards from different vendors, even, I thought for sure I'd be able to use the old Maxwell titan for a little extra juice. Sadly, that is not the case. Any info regarding this issue would be appreciated.

Turns out tomb raider has homogeneous mGPU. I wonder if a 3rd pascal titan is in my future....since I doubt heterogeneous mGPU will catch on.

I was upfront and honest with them and told them that while I was removing the stock cooler, one of the screws were tightened down too much and when I used a little force, my screwdriver moved and broke a part off the PCB. The card still worked, but I was unsure if it would work long term. They said no problem, I returned it and within a few days of them receiving it they refunded my money. At the time, the cards were still fairly new and going in and out of stock, so they suggested to just get a refund and re-buy one when they became available. While I prefer to go with EVGA, I did go Nvidia because at the time the Maxwell Titan X were only from Nvidia much like the Titan X Pascal.

maybe i will try to contact them and be honest
