Are we still unable to flash the card with a mod bios?
No updated nvflash out there?
5.306 doesn't work?

I haven't come across anything yet. My guess is nvidia doesn't update it, but someone smart will figure it out!

lol - where did you get this idea from ?? The R5E10 likes a full house - 8 sticks - due to T-topology in the memory trace sublayer. There are no optimized settings for 3000 on x99 that will out perform optimized 3200 on the same platform for two reasons... 1) x99 quad channel is bandwidth oriented, 2) the memory divider for 3200 is the strongest on that platform. With his 6950X and R5E10, 3400c14, or c13 may be possible depending on the CPU's IMC.

can;t read the bios and can't modify it yet. NV has locked us out.

Eh, we can agree to disagree then.

4K has been around for a few years now, and yeah, it's still a hard resolution to drive, but primarily due to the sheer millions of pixels involved and not necessarily due to a game's graphical fidelity.

The vast majority of games are console ports/games that are multiplatform that aren't focused solely on milking every tier of PC hardware.

"Graphics is advancing but there are no GPUs that can handle it." Really? Can you even put together a list of more than ~10 overwhelmingly popular games that can't be run on 1440p @ 60hz? Because that's what the "new standard" is for probably 98% of PC gamers...the rest of the PC gaming population is lumped into the 1440p@144hz, 3440x1440p @ 100hz and 4k @ 60hz crowd.

You're also underestimating game developers' willingness to take advantage of DX12 and Vulcan; RoTR had "okay" DX12 improvements, nothing too spectacular, and we have yet to see how other games like Deus Ex: Mankind Divided will fare.

Gaming as a whole is a money-first business like everything else, so if you think that developers are going to come out of the woodwork to take advantage of DX12 and Vulcan so that the top 2% of PC gamers with $1,200 GPUs and $1-2K CPUs are getting the absolute BEST graphical fidelity at the most optimal and efficient performance at the best resolutions and framerates....lol....prepare to be disappointed.

We're lucky to get developers putting in the time for DEDICATED PC games that are designed and developed with PCs in mind....I mean, really, how many games coming out besides Star Citizen can you actually say are being built to advance graphics technology and take full advantage of PCs? And even then, DX12 is still just in the exploratory phase with Star Citizen...they've already mentioned it will come after launch and will likely require a code revamp for most of the things they've done (since they're turned CryEngine inside out basically).
I appreciate you trying to justify our hardware but when 98% of PC gamers are in a much different places than those of us running TXPs, then pretty much most games are ALWAYS going to be behind the hardware curve.

and when it reverses the consumer/market revolts and will not buy games that can't be played on mainstream hardware. Enthusiasts buy halo products... for the halo. wink.gif

No competition from AMD for another 6-10 months. No wonder the TItan XP costs $1200.

Great comparison, it nicely shows how hard the MS is still for the Maxwell generation, but far less for Pascal, yet still not gone.

Is it possible to just put 2 Titan XP's connected wth the sli bridge and use 2-card sli with dx11 games, but then just let dx12 take care of using all 3 under explicit multi gpu?

Are you sure you are not doing something wrong?

I have 2 980ti's and max every single game at 1440p...
