Actually I wouldn't be surprised if JPM was helping work out the kinks in the code, alpha, or beta testing something. I was just razzing him a bit.

edit:

As a side note, has anyone tried actually slightly reducing the voltage on their cards to avoid the power limit wall? I wonder if I could drop them down to 1.05, set the memory to stock clocks and get a higher core clock speed that way without being curbstomped by PL.

After a half day of testing my Titan came up with the following results

Gaming / Heaven stable
  • Core 2038mhz (+178)
  • Mem 5580mhz (+575)

AB settings Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

3dmark ultra
  • Graphical score of 7805

TimeSpy
  • Graphical score of 10354
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
Time_Spy.jpg

Temperature is max 45 celcius but thats because it's freaking hot in my room (attic) and no AC

Not a golden ticket but its ok right ?

yeah - lets not get our hopes up yet.
unfortunately, nvflash is only half the solution... we've had a working nvflash for the 1080 for a long time, but no bios editor for the 1080 afaik. mad.gif

lol - where did you get this idea from ?? The R5E10 likes a full house - 8 sticks - due to T-topology in the memory trace sublayer. There are no optimized settings for 3000 on x99 that will out perform optimized 3200 on the same platform for two reasons... 1) x99 quad channel is bandwidth oriented, 2) the memory divider for 3200 is the strongest on that platform. With his 6950X and R5E10, 3400c14, or c13 may be possible depending on the CPU's IMC.
can;t read the bios and can't modify it yet. NV has locked us out.
and when it reverses the consumer/market revolts and will not buy games that can't be played on mainstream hardware. Enthusiasts buy halo products... for the halo. wink.gif

Lololol
Typo I meant 3200 ripjaws.

I would love for it to reverse but sadly most studios with the budget to truly take advantage of PC gaming hardware are the ones who want to put out games with as minimal effort as possible and market the crap out of it .....and most gamers will eat it up...too many people still pre-order, etc. mad.gif
