I ran my pumps for a while to bleed out some more air bubbles and re-ran the same game that caused it to hit 68c and it only hit 51c. This was at +200 to core, +200 to memory and it hitting 2,000 rock steady.

I contacted EK's support about this the first time I bought a backplate from them. They probably have to answer this a lot. redface.gif

I have a very similar system, but at 4.7 GHz; I got 31876. thinking.gif

edit:
I get the same graphics score at stock: 31964

The GPU was at the same +190 MHz 120% power for both runs, 2050 MHz usually, with short moments of 2063 and 2038.

I got a few questions for Vega as he seems to be running a more advanced version of what I am aiming for, although obviously I would welcome input from the rest of you guys as well.

My only goal here is a high visual fidelity gaming. I have no particular interest at all in benchmarking. Also I value resolution more then ultra smooth animation so I will be going 4k@60hz for a while.

I set up my 4k rig about two years ago. It consists of 3x980 in SLI and x99 board with i7-5930 (and Corsair 1200W power supply). Monitor I use is ASUS PQ32. It worked more or less fine (occasional annoyance with SLI related artifacts etc...) but it's starting to get a bit long in a tooth (could not quite get 60hz in most recent games and Division was borderline unplayable) and I feel there is time for upgrades. Also, I am getting tired of only 32 inches screen and am seriously considering switching to LG 55" Oled.

I got money but I do not like wasting it. Also, I am not particularly confident in my mechanical abilities so any major modifications are out of the question (though obviously I can assemble components etc...)

My current idea was to get LG55E6 and a pair of Titan XPs in SLI.
My questions are:

a) Is it true that 55B6 is the same TV as 55E6 except for the soundboard (for which I don't care as I have proper surround) and the screen mounting?

b) Is the second Titan an overkill? I would like to run everything at 60hz near or at max settings for next two to three years and I figure I may actually need some AA at 55 inches. On the other hand not having to worry about SLI issues also has its advantages. Also, with only one card it would be easier to justify upgrading again much sooner.

c) Am I better off upgrading board and the CPU? I don't think I am because so far I never felt I am running into CPU bottleneck but maybe I am not measuring things correctly.

d) Should I maybe just get a TV and wait one more generation and upgrade whole rig at once?

hey, I was wondering how many FPS you guys who run the titan x coupled with a x99 board, were getting in 4k.
I'm getting 95+ fps running the titan x and a 6900k.. is that normal ?

Thanks for your help.

Worth going 4k with a single XP? There's a 40 inch 4k Samsung on sale for $380.

4K is usable on a single 1080, so yes definitely worth it with a titan xp. If you expect to have all settings at max in every game even SLI titan xp cant handle it so don't be too concerned with that!

Absolutely the same deal for me. I didn't even notice it! I did +200 and it goes to 2063 no sweat. I'm going to try more tonight. I really hope the custom bios comes out for these bad boys.
