How does one increase the fan speed on a Nivada Titan X. I'm running 83.0 C under full load.

I only need +220 to get a flat 2.1Ghz on the core. Memory +700-800.

That was on air which i suspect was throttling. Gonna try later today under water.

Is your 5960x overclocked? I have an ek predator 360 and a 6850k overclocked to 4.3 1.3v in the same loop and my titan hits 70c with 100% fan.

My only goal here is a high visual fidelity gaming. I have no particular interest at all in benchmarking. Also I value resolution more then ultra smooth animation so I will be going 4k@60hz for a while.

I set up my 4k rig about two years ago. It consists of 3x980 in SLI and x99 board with i7-5930 (and Corsair 1200W power supply). Monitor I use is ASUS PQ32. It worked more or less fine (occasional annoyance with SLI related artifacts etc...) but it's starting to get a bit long in a tooth (could not quite get 60hz in most recent games and Division was borderline unplayable) and I feel there is time for upgrades. Also, I am getting tired of only 32 inches screen and am seriously considering switching to LG 55" Oled.

I got money but I do not like wasting it. Also, I am not particularly confident in my mechanical abilities so any major modifications are out of the question (though obviously I can assemble components etc...)

My current idea was to get LG55E6 and a pair of Titan XPs in SLI.
My questions are:

a) Is it true that 55B6 is the same TV as 55E6 except for the soundboard (for which I don't care as I have proper surround) and the screen mounting?

b) Is the second Titan an overkill? I would like to run everything at 60hz near or at max settings for next two to three years and I figure I may actually need some AA at 55 inches. On the other hand not having to worry about SLI issues also has its advantages. Also, with only one card it would be easier to justify upgrading again much sooner.

c) Am I better off upgrading board and the CPU? I don't think I am because so far I never felt I am running into CPU bottleneck but maybe I am not measuring things correctly.

d) Should I maybe just get a TV and wait one more generation and upgrade whole rig at once?

a. LG only makes two OLED panels in 2016 for TV's. A 55" and a 65". All of the screens are identical with those panels, just depends on if you want flat or curved, or what speaker/bezel setup. I personally think the 55OLEDC6P is the best for a computer monitor.

b. The second Titan-XP is needed if you never want to drop below 60 FPS in all games. A single Titan-XP can run 4K @ 60 Hz in virtually all games, a few more recent ones you will have to turn down some settings or get a second card if you want to keep everything maxed out in all titles.

c. Your MB/CPU combo is fine. They don't have to work too hard for only 60 FPS.

d. You could always get one Titan-XP and the OLED now, and then get the second Titan-XP down the line if and when you/the games you play need it. thumb.gif

My Titan is actually under water (max 42°C). It also seems to be a bad clocker because it isn't stable when stress testing even at only +200MHz. It is also quite close to the power limit so overclocking the memory seems counter productive.

Finally finished the 3x Titan XM > 2x Titan XP swap out last night!

Loop's been bleeding for over 12 hours now, zero problems....that said, I did have a near heart attack last night during the first leak test....figured out that one of the EK Parallel connector o-rings were missing from a side, causing a VERY slow leak over ~20 minutes...spotted it and fixed it and everything's been perfect since.

Got super lucky as the 2x SLI configuration on the X-99 Deluxe aligns perfectly with the height of the new 3-slot parallel connector, so I got to skip out on bending more acrylic tubing to make things fit! This was literally a drain + GPU swap out and I couldn't be happier. thumb.gif

Running a +190 core/+300 mem OC right now, no voltage adjustments, just 120% power limit in AB...performance has been AMAZING at 3440x1440p @ 100hz in The Witcher 3, EVERYTHING cranked up...wow. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided still has issues with SLI but runs really, really well with just a single TXP.

On a side note, I ended up dremeling the Nvidia HB SLI bridge's tips to fit with the EK waterblock connector....so far, it seems to be working just fine...is everyone else doing this or just going for the EVGA HB bridge? The piece I trimmed off seemed to just be empty PCB and I haven't seen any negative effects playing games in SLI.

Edit: The 3x Titan X Maxwells all sold (to the same guy) on eBay for $685 each with the EK blocks attached...just in case other TXM owners are looking to sell theirs and move on to the TXP. Getting 60%~ back of what I paid for is not a "bad" RoI considering I enjoyed the TXMs for ~18-19 months and paid the tech creep/early adopter fees. biggrin.gif

Hmmm, mine is exhaust on the top of my corsair 760t. Wonder if I need to reseat my waterblock... did you leave the pump plugged into the predator or are you controlling it from the mobo?

How much FPS you're getting on your Titans on BF1 maxed out?
