I had 4K with 2 x 1080s and felt it was very nice, but I wouldn't' recommend it with a single Ttian. Too much compromise would have to be made to get 60+ FPS at 4K. 2 x Titan XPs on the other hand would be a great setup for 4K.

I sincerely hope it won't cost you the card eventually to learn that but in the long run it will benefit you and the industry I'm sure so if it comes down to that just realize that all you lost was some numbers on your bank account wink.gif

I've never been under the impression that video card overclocking would void warranty since it's blocked in the driver by thermal and power limits. Unless, of course, you're using a custom bios. So this did tick me off.

I'm sorry to say I'd have to kind of side with Joker on this one. If you aren't going to go full custom loop and get respectable and tested full blocks from EK or aqua-comptuer.de, then stick with the stock coolers. Taking an AIO off a different card and going that route doesn't seem worth the risk.

I really hope you get your money back and nvidia doesn't read this thread !

Side comment:

So I was running more Fire Strike Ultra Benches and this time had the Power Limit displayed in the Precsion X OSD.

I have the power slider set to its max of 120% and + 175 Mhz on the GPU clock and +500 on the Mhz.

I was watching clock speeds and power usage (the temps are fine to me under the EK blocks) and noticed the cards seemed to max out at 2000 and then one card or the other would smack into the 120% (briefly would see 121%) and then one or both would rapidly drop down to 1975, 1987, 1974, 1962, etc. The highest I would see was 2000 and it wasn't sustained very long before that power limit hit. I ran FSU back to back in this config and got:
Run 1: 13817
Run 2: 13749

I really hope someone can crack the BIOS and let us crank that slider to 125% or 130% and not have to deal with strange PCB mods !!

RMA!!! wheee.gif
the green team approved to replace my broken card thumbsupsmiley.png
after explain the all story (my unprofessional work) how i scratch the PCB, and to be honest it is my fault .
they told my that what i did avoid warranty and next thing got a stunning email from eRMA team that my RMA as approved cheers.gif
i was in shock didn't believe at first then i have sent my broken card
and a few days later fedex at my door with a brand new unopened card.
wow!!!

Is there any official word on when either a hybrid water cooled version or, even just a Hybrid cooler sold separately, might be available?

I'm chomping at the bit to buy one of these to replace my dual GTX 980 Hybrids ... but not interested in air cooling and am not going to invest in a custom loop.

The hybrid kits on my 980's have been one of the best investments I've ever made and really want a Titan X Pascal hybrid ( and not really interested in modding/hacking a 1080 hybrid kit, though I will if it ends up the only option) ...

Congrats. Its nice to see that it can pay off to be honest and tell the truth. Have fun with your new card, but please stay away from the violence this time if you are gonna do any custom work on it thumb.gif

Yes. EVGA confirmed they will be releasing one in the future but as of now its in early R&D stages.

We are currently under the assumption that this is the only Titan X (Pascal) card that is going to be released. There has been no news, or even rumors, of anything else.

A custom loop is also a great investment, you usually only need to get a new block when upgrading. When well maintained a custom loop can last a long time. My experiance this time was excellent, I simply swapped EK's hose mount from my old 980Ti to the Titan X, I didn't even have to disconnect any tubing. Still, it is probably around $500 to start a decent custom loop and they do take some work to install the first time.

What game cant SLI Titan X Pascal handle at 4k/60fps max settings? Pretty much each game I tested so far it is able to do it. The Witcher 3 even with highest hairworks settings I get easily 4k/60fps. Crysis 3 the same thing, even using the highest AA settings. (at some points it does dip a little), but mainly 60fps throughout.
