Also try Multimon to monitor background activity for errors or problems transparent to other monitoring software that can lag up the system when it comes to things like file access and registry errors.

Witcher3 do samething, even after i rebooted. But it dont seem to do it everywhere. But at a lot of places.

Is it possible that witcher3 is just too graphical powered to be really playable at 4k even with several setting downgraded ?. When i run in a city , if it rain and a lot of people appear my fps drop from 55-65 to 30 or 40 in one shot, that cause SEVERE stuttering VERY OFTEN, i tried vsync on and off, its the same thing. But in openworld with no rain and a few ennemies the stuttering dont happen often and fps is solid 60fps.

Is it possible that witcher3 is just too graphical powered to be really playable at 4k even with several setting downgraded ?. But my 1070 and 980ti were not stuttering at 4k, that is strange.

This is my pc, if you find something fishy:

Intel I5 4690 3.5ghz-3.9ghz
32gb ram ddr3 1600mhz
1tb wd black
Asus h97-plus
Antec power supply 750watts

That so bad , i found witcher3 more playable at 4k with my 1070 and 980ti, its so sad, only 35-45fps but no stuterring, with same graphics setting and same 4k resolution

Mine should be here tomorrow! Anyone know if this http://www.evga.com/Products/Product.aspx?pn=400-HY-5188-B1 will work on the titan? I think both of the dimensions (1080 and titan) are the same

I only played witcher for 25 mins to show nephew last night running 205/600 temp 70 max with fan 80 %
Someone asked for firestrike score stock vs oc
this run 120% power 205/700 31,982 http://www.3dmark.com/fs/9633278
this is with power100% not 120% no oc 28,713 http://www.3dmark.com/fs/9633444
last score is 120% no oc 29,039
My take is titan xp throttles quick from 2088 to 2024 to mid 1900 thru firestrike part one second part of test boost stays higher 2025 or so although temp max was 74 degrees ..I think tdp and ran temp brings down clock quick, I am going to order Ek block hopefully can keep boost near 2075 gaming would be huge benefit.
anyone take off backplate yet to see contact made ?? thanks
6700k oc to 4.8

There is no contact/RAM on the back of the card I heard.

Not having this problem, witcher 3 runs beautifully for me. I still disable hair works though because it honestly isn't worth it. If you haven't that's the first thing i'd disable as it's known to cause severe performance issues at times for almost no difference.

If you enabled fast sync, then you will get severe stuttering below 50fps or so.

Sometime the stuttering can be a half second, its not fun at all, even my 1070 and 980ti didnt have this stuttering problem, better playing 40-45fps and no stuttering. The game is stuttering with or without vsync even if still 60fps solid.i need help frown.gif until now i dont have this problem with any other game, thanks if you can help me, or try the game in 4k by yourself, maybe the drivers?
Note: it do the same problem with stock clock for core and mem

I didn't notice "stuttering" per say, but i did notice that it was awfully "laggy" feeling. That the input lag seemed a bit off, like button presses and mouse movement took longer to take effect after you did them than they usually do. I'll check it again soon. It could just be that this card needs driver updates since it's so soon.

Ill go ahead and buy a EK FCWB for it, and wait till nvidia gets stock again, and buy 1. Im wanting to get away from SLi and all its headaches so if this card is the answer, then shes mine... Please someone with knowledge with this question please provide some input as it would be greatly appreciated!

You are indeed correct sir. This card is ~30-35% faster than a GTX 1080, and a GTX 1080 is about ~30% faster than a 980 TI. That puts this card at ~60-65% faster than a 980 TI at stock, and when overclocked it basically ties with SLI 980 TI's. Of course two highly overclocked 980 TI's might SLIGHTLY beat it, but not by much i guarantee. If you are wanting to move away from SLI then this is the card as of now. Of course they could always make a 1080 TI and piss off a lot of people that bought this, but i kinda doubt it since everything about pascal mimics the 600 series (1080 was first 16nm card just like the 680 was the first 28nm card. Both the 680/670 and 1080/1070 had bad stock issues where the cards were out of stock a lot for a couple months after release etc..etc..) and the 600 series had the original TITAN come out not long after the 680/670/660 did, then the next year we got the GTX 780 and GTX 780 TI, with the 780 being ~10-12% slower than the TITAN and the 780 TI being ~5-6% faster than the TITAN. My guess would be that we will get a GTX 1180 using either a modified GP100 or the same GP102 on this TITAN card but with roughly ~3,072 - 3,328 cuda cores and 8GB of 3072 bit HBM2 VRAM (540GB/s bandwidth), and the 1180 TI having roughly ~3,840 - 4,096 cuda cores and the same 8GB of 3072 bit HBM2 VRAM. We might also get a "TITAN X BLACK" that could possibly end up using 4096 bit HBM (720 GB/s) to differentiate from the others. This lines up with the "Volta in 2017" rumor as i just don't see them having volta ready by then; but i can EASILY see them having full ~4,096 core capable "Pascal 2.0" architecture being ready by then (just like how the 700 series was still the same Keplar architecture of the 600 series, but was tweaked/enhanced and used full GK110 die)

Just to give another answer to the ones who told you already: Yes it would work, but the 980 TI one may actually work better on this card than the 1080/1070 one since you wouldn't have to fuss with making room for the additional power connector etc.. that the 1080/1070 don't have.

But this time it said nvidia windows kernel mode driver version 369,05 has highest execution. I dont think the driver cause a problem.. Right? Or its same problem then 1070 and 1080, but i dont think the hotfix will work for titanx

Disable your LAN adapter temporarily in Device manager and see if the issue is still there.
There's a known problem with Windows 10 and various NICs/LAN drivers.

with the case closed with no OC"n.. the cards got hella hot really fast. They hit 90 right away. got hotter faster than the 1080.. but that is what waterblocks are for smile.gif
