I ordered just 1 today, going to gauge if I am going to need to SLI or use this to tie me over to Volta

Besides EWK who else is making waterblock?

and are the EWK going to block off the NVLink??? I read the current blocks for the 1080 are blocking the NVLink

EK said they would make their own bridges.. but i'm not holding my breath. That said, if you are 4k or under. the LED hard brides work the same as the new HB bridges. (do stay away from the ribbon crap.. but that was the case before the 10x series)

I hope Aqua computer makes a block.. I still have 2 of the Aqua Computer water blocks for the 980TI. Going to keep one 980TI as a dedicated PhysX. My build would be "off" if Aqua Computer doesn't make one lol

Will this be the "official" Titan X New/P/Pascal owner's thread or since the name is still Titan X, we all report to that thread?

I don't know if anyone else picked or posted this story

http://www.gamestar.de/hardware/grafikkarten/nvidia-titan-x/news-artikel/nvidia_titan_x,1010,3276621.html

Since i am not fluent in German... I used the Google translator. I notice this paragraph.

"Depending on the title, the Titan X is 4K whopping 20 percent before the Zotac Geforce GTX AMP 1080 Extreme , which is one of today's fastest 1080 variants thanks to its factory overclocking. Under load, the Titan X remains relatively quiet, but the GP102 chip heats up to 85 degrees, and the clock rate then leveled off at about 1,600 MHz."

[Someone might want to read it in native German]

"....the GP102 chip heats up to 85 degrees, and the clock rate then leveled off at about 1,600 MHz"

sounds like it needs some watercooling for sure!

how is the chiller? the hum drive you crazy?
Did chilling "help" - sadly, as we talked about, even with the lower temp i didn't get anymore OC from it.
8 1080s... lol. The chiller works fine. I really only use it on occasion, for benchmarking etc. But also for some needed stress/limit testing. For those uses it is absolutely great! thumb.gif
Can't really run it 24/7... I'd say it's more than a "hum".
