Asus ROG Maximus VIII Extreme will not power up -- pls help

Hi all,

I got a new build together with an Asus ROG Maximus VIII Extreme MB.

Ive double checked all connections. I've got two water pumps that ive tested with the psu. I've connected the mobo cable and the two 8+4 pins power to the mb.

When I connect switch the psu on, the mb Start and reset light up along with a few led on the board. When I hit the power button on the case, nothing happens. -- no fans, no water pumps, no beep from the bios.

Ive changed the cmos battery and hit the cmos reset. No Effect.

Ive changed power cables on the board to the psu- no effect

Ive unplugged and reconnected all connections- no effect

Ive removed all but 1 Ram modules - no effect

This is a super high end enthusiast build in a Caselabs SMA8 case. Is there anyone with some input?

Thanks

Heres an image during the water leak test part of the build (which it passed)

I've tried using the jumper on the MB power cable from the PSU. Fans and pumps work fine. This is leading to a motherboard issue I'd say.

Anyone had a similar problem?

SOLVED--

I took off the cpu water block and checked for a possible short off of screw contacts. Put it back together and presto! IT'S ALIVE!!!!!

Thanks to all those who chimed in.

Enjoy your day.
