You can use Windows classic theme and it disabled that
Or you can manually make any application disable composition upon launching if you want to keep aero for regular desktop usage
At OP I tried ten for about three hours at a friend's house and hated it. I also tried classic Shell which wasn't terrible but still hated it. For me who just browses and games i see no reason to upgrade when all my settings are set
In the future when I actually make a new computer I'll probably get the latest but will have my 7 CD by my side if needed
I don't see 10 being better than 7 besides security updates and nothing else. Felt extremely cluttered and filled with nonsense for a minimalist like myself.
