all the benchmarks i've seen clearly show every single amd card receiving a higher boost with async than any pascal card. in time spy the 480 still receives higher gains with async than the 1060 and there is a lot of controversy over its handling of async in that benchmark to paint nvidia in a better light.

even tomb raider, one all amd cards fail in, even in dx12, still recieve higher gains than pascal's cards, but of course nvidia still wins since its a major gameworks title with heavy use of tessellation.

whats going on with ashes?

RX 480 beats GTX 1060 in Ashes DX12 http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/nvidia-geforce-gtx-1060-pascal,4679-3.html by a whisker. It's (RX 480) biggest win is in Hitman. Have been a code monkey writing bespoke software it comes down to how you exploit the hardware. GCN and nVidia very different h/w.

also dont forget out of the three dx12 titles out right now, two are sponsored by amd, go figure.

Gtx 1060 already 5%-15% fast in stock clock vs amd rs 480 for many games beside doom redface.gif and Overclock Gtx 1060 able to hit 225Mhz that's more 10%-15% overclock performance boost in many games.

We already figured out one of the ways NVidia gets higher fps . . .

Lowered image quality.

"So it's simple for me I went from using a Power color HD7970 to a gigabyte G1 Gtx970. I honestly noticed far worse super-sampling, texture color and all over quality of my games"

i mean read this, the guy doesn't even know what he's talking about, and you are just using this to prove yourself right, but you both just proved another thing...

I look at it this way. AMD could do 10 times more damage to Nvidia if they showed this to the masses instead of worrying about Gameworks or 4GB means 4GB etc.

Literally this would destroy Nvidia if AMD could show this with indisputable proof.

Yet, we hear nothing from AMD.

So it means that they won't risk it, what if it turns out to be fake or just not true, amd would destroy itself, and since their situation isn't very promising atm, why do this, maybe they will in the future if they start taking back market and have more proof, for now to me and most of people who tried both sides is just bs.
