Well I am awaiting Cossacks 3.

Almost no RTS/RTT or even Tycoon games are unpopular these days. The degeneration of PC Gaming... such is life.

fooling around in paint.. My screenshot is on the right, rdr09 ss is on the left.. just copied one into the paint panel with the other one. I dont have gimp installed, so paint is all I had installed to use.

I cant tell the image is too small here for me to see anything. they look pretty much the same to me on my screen.

What I did notice from that perspective the buildings are zoomed in or appear a bit closer in my image than 9dr09's image, and thats pretty evident. I guess my field of view is probably set narrower than his in game..

Image quality influences performance, thus it is relevant. How do you mean image quality is a myth? Especially after some clear differences that were pointed out...

In 4-5 years things can change, particularly when we've had multiple generation of cards, a bunch of different driver versions, new engines, different APIs...

Why are you unwilling to allow investigation into the subject? Do you really think their image quality is the same? Or are you afraid to find out something you don't like?

so many website review amd rx 480 and gtx 1060 in past month none of the mention about image quality don't you think that's odd ? or they would have included in their review that amd has better image quality ? or are you fan boy ?

Heres as close as I can get with the comparison screens.. I had to set my in game fov to like 80.. I guess dice changed the map or something because the shipping containers are missing, unless he was on a tdm match and I'm doing conquest for the screenshots (edited in, hes in conquest also, noticed that comparing them)..

made some edits, added more specs.
I'm around 130+fps with an I5-6600k@4.5ghz, 16gb gskill ddr4-3000, zotac 1070 with a mild overclock, 32" Crossover 32s monitor at 2560x1440p overclocked to 75hz. . Default ultra settings, just fov changed to match rdr09's, Origin default install no shader mods... cpu temp at 51c, gpu at 65c, and that is where tops out at, I dont recall seeing it over 65c all aircooled.

yours looks better, maybe cause he's not maxed out or something but some textures looks sharper

Great work, however I don't believe that screenshot belongs to rdr, I saw the same one a day before, I believe it's pulled off the net. Not 100% sure anyway. The more important thing - it is obviously a different version of the game, therefore comparison is irrelevant - they updated a lot of objects on the map, trees, fences and whatnots, they may or may not have updated textures or filtering.

The left image looks a bit better to me, but that may be due to 4K vs 1440p, or due to the changes in the game, who knows.

We need someone with an AMD GPU to take the same shot right now, on the same version of the map, preferably at 1440p, so we can compare.

But again, kudos for putting the effort into it thumb.gif
