need low static friction mousepad suggestions

Thread Starter
I've been constantly switching lately between 2 mousepads I own and I"m looking for the perfect inbetween. I love the very low static friction and low stopping force on my Razer Goliathus Control, but I really dislike the material, it's super scratchy and irritates my arm.

I love the regular soft cloth material on my QCK+ EG edition (it's a lot glidier than a regular QCK+) but it has too much friction/stopping force. Any glidy, low friction/force cloth pad recommendations?

any help is much appreciated

I'm in the same boat actually.

unfortunately the Zero is too small height-wise, I need something around 40-50cm frown.gif

using the QPad UCv2 right now, but it's a bit slow and for some reason it started to feel sticky- wondering if it is because I broke in these hyperglides a bit much... it's still good but not good enough.

my go-to is usually the Zowie GTF-X but it's too uncomfortable for my skin. and I can sometimes think that the stopping is a little too difficult.

Goliathus Control is better in those regards but as you said, too rough for skin as well.

not a fan of the QcK series at all.

G-SR was way too sticky when I tried it.

Talent was a bit slow...

feels like it's not possible to get smooth + low static friction :| unless Zero is "The One".

Is the Zero XSOFT better than the Hayate OTSU XSOFT?

they're two very different pads.
one's a rough fast pad (Otsu), the other is a slow control pad. I think this is personal preference territory.

The Hayate Otsu is technically a cloth pad but don't be fooled, it's very speedy. It has very low static friction (by my standards). It does have sufficient to add some control to the mouse pad. If you like that sort of thing and have the utmost command over your mouse I imagine it will be ideal. But for me my Qck is infinitely preferable as my mouse slips around on the Otsu.

Ordered a Hien... Hope i don't have to order a zero too.... Three lots of shipping costs

I ended up ordering a CM Swift-RX Large, it's surprisingly smooth. Feels like a speed pad but not as sticky, for me personally it feels like an almost perfect mix between the comfort of cloth and glide/friction of a speed pad. I'd say its a combination of a razer goliathus speed and a roccat taito

heh, I decided to try the Glorious Gaming mousepad. I won't be home when it arrives though so like 2 weeks until I can even try it frown.gif

The Glorious is great IMO. I do find the total surface contact of the mouse feet contributes more to static than dynamic friction. My EC2-A has huge feet and more static friction than my ZA12.
