MSI Godlike Carbon Realtek Nahimic problem

Thread Starter
Hello
My pc has msi carbon godlike motherboard with realtek high definition sound.
I installed all drivers up to date but the sound is not like on my macbook pro, my laptop sound is about 10 times louder and crisper and overall much better quality
I researched and did all tweaks but still the pc sound is dissapointing compared to macbook.
Any idea why is it so ?
Thank you

Are both set to play the same resolution ie 24/96 - CD Quality?
Are you playing the exact same file on both when you compare?
Are you using the same audio system when you compare?
Headphones or speakers?
If headphones, which ones?
What software (ie iTunes, Windows media player, ???) are you using on both?

Are you using the latest Realtek codec?
Your motherboard's User Manual or Windows Device Manager will tell you what Realtek IC you have.
You can download codecs here

If you're using headphones, an impedance mismatch can cause that problem.

Look up the impedance of the Realtek sound systemIC your on motherboard on Realtek's website and the impedance of you headphones and see if they match.

Generally, after market sound cards provide higher fidelity that on board sound.
