And.. this rumor is probaboly bogus. If it's not, it'll be like the maxwell release with the gts 750

Also.. don't forget that the release of new products don't degrade your performance, it just moves it down the ladder of best.
I would not be so sure. Nvidia is capable of gimping performance from their cards. I have seen it on my previous nvidia cards aswell as other OCN members confimed that.

that is nothing more than a false rumor

plenty of testing debunked all that

And that's mostly barrel distortion from the projector and the camera taking the picture...

This is highly probable.

Yes but like I said, with the caveat that Pascal is basically Maxwell with better VR/DX12 capabilities, we could start the Pascal clock at Sep 2014, and therefore Volta in 2H 2017 suddenly doesn't seem all that far fetched.

Besides if you look at the roadmaps prior to TSMC failing 20nm, you'd see that Volta was supposed to follow Maxwell, and Pascal only became a thing after 20nm failed. So it's not unreasonable to believe that Pascal is simply Maxwell Mk II and a stopgap solution.

I heard all this before in 2012, from all the people who called Kepler a Fermi Dieshrink. Except Kepler lasted a year longer than most people think and Maxwell X80 didn't show up until 2 and a half year later.
