You bought the OS far as im concerned you should be able to move it to another mobo. Not multiple computers no, but you bloody well own it. Just think if other companies like Adobe or Valve start doing this what response they would get.

I dont like the idea if buyibg something but not owning it. Considering all the data MS is collecting and ads they show even in the start menu the fact that the OS isnt free already is sort of amazing. If you wanted to buy it you should get to avoid all that crap.
it doesn't matter how you feel about it. You click agree. If you don't like it, fine. Nobody is forcing you. But don't be a liar. And don't be a criminal

Recently upgraded mobo/cpu/ram and windows didn't activate. I had an upgrade license. I did a "clean install" after installing the parts - I just gave them a call and told them I changed out my parts and windows wasn't activating on it's own after doing a clean install. They asked me for my Windows 8 key, verified it, and walked me through activating it using that key. Wasn't an issue at all.

Did the same here, I called MS told them I had done a complete system upgrade and why (old hardware 775) they asked for Win8.1 key, and gave me a new key for Windows 10, the person said to keep it and if I needed to reinstall the Win10 in the future to use the new key

Did you replaced it all at once or one by one?

No, I just went full on ahead and replaced everything. (I was excited to get everything up and working... Thats when I found out the ram sticks I previously bought for the new build were dead... But I got them replaced)
I would still say be careful because even though I somehow had a lucky break when upgrading, other configurations may not. The only part that was not changed during the upgrade was the GPU.
