After Overclocking is my CPU or my Motherboard dead?

Thread Starter
Hi,

yesterday I tried this old thing called "overclocking". After I finished I just used Google Chrome and browsed on the internet. After I turnt off my PC and wanted to turn it on again NOTHING literally NOTHING happens.
Now I don't know what is damaged. I asked a friend who has a lot of experience regarding to stuff like this and he says that 99% the CPU has been friend, since i already reset BIOS on my Motherboard.

Specs:
CPU: I3 530
Motherboard: msi H55m-e33
Thats all you need to know i think.

Best Regards

I say CPU is alive 99%. Prosessors has a safe-zone, if it get too hot (even at high voltage>temp rises) it slows down or it even shutdown before it fried. Most cases, if you arent disabled those safe-zones like i do, but im a HC OClocker...

If something your hardware is dead now, it bet its motherboard or just power supply unit has been end of the life.
