Some people cant give up their past and cling to nostalgia...   there are much better games to play with your time. Why bother with has-been stuff? I just don't get it.

Wouldn't you rather play Witcher, or Battlefield, or League..  or anything else...?  I do not get it, unless you are playing along with a niece/nephew, son/daughter. Whom being kids require fisherprice style of gamer consoles, with added durability and youthful (PG rated) friendly Mario themeworlds, that parents can feel good, leaving their children with...

I don't see a 27year old adult, going out and buying a Nintendo system for himself, specially when there is an Xbox, or PlayStation. Nintendo's Consoles have always been geared at adolescent humans, & I suppose many bored adults would probably be amused by them as well, (if one was laying around).

Nintendo is synonymous with arcade. Hence Nintendo NX..!

Who are you? I don't recognize you, pretty sure you're just some insignificant human being. Can't imagine you're the son of anyone that has made a huge difference in the world. Care to enlighten me about your social status that you telling us who still like Nintendo that we should like what you tell us to like?

This is OCN last time I checked. Just about everyone here has a gaming computer so no duh we're playing The Witcher, or BF, or Overwatch, or Leage Dota CS Batman blah blah blah blah. Nintendo simply has something Sony and MS don't have. Fun as hell games that are casual that aren't some shoddy port from another system. Sorry if my gaming tastes offend you but I'll buy whatever system it is soley just to play the new Smash Bros or Zelda. Zelda alone is the only reason I got a Gamecube. Don't like Zelda? Cool, go play any of the latter games. Me? I'm going to play Zelda like a crack addict. In fact, I may just buy another copy of it just in spite of you.

I'm almost 30 years old. I just went out and bought a New 3DS from best buy, stopped at a local game store and picked up Pokemon Alpha Ruby, Kingdom Hearts 3D and one of those awesome Castlevania RPG games. Oh BTW, I'm also about to add some funds onto my eshop account so I can buy the Phoenix Wright games. They're pretty great. Fun as hell actually. Guess I could go just play them on my Com.....xbo.....playst......oh that's right, they're not on those.

Well, so much for your 27 year old comment. Gosh darn people who have their own tastes in gaming buying systems they find fun and worth their time with money they personally worked for (unless you're a kid, who may have actually mowed a few lawns to earn money) for however many hours they needed to work to afford the stuff they want.

I only played it for the first time last night. Got the demo for Dual Destiny's cause it was so highly rated and I had an absolute blast with it. Regardless the amount of reading, I just overall really liked it, and I'm not the type that's overly fond of most anime (grew up watching Dragon Ball Z, that was about it).

So on the 3ds there's: http://www.nintendo.com/games/detail/Ou8Wx5UsRfMJofDemHEcfOVwP6Z88n9Z

That has the 3 from the DS if I read it Wright (hur hur hur pun). They refrew the game added 3d etc.

This is the demo I played

http://www.nintendo.com/games/detail/04lWGprvgmSpzhAR3fC3VTt5gKhhyPct

and it was GREAT.

The Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney series of games are amazing and I can vouch for its quality, at least for the games I've played which is #1 - 4 for the DS. I've yet to play Dual Destinies (#5) but I've been meaning to, especially since the sixth game in the main series is releasing this September.

The Gamecube Console itself may not have reversed the damage the company did to themselves mostly with the N64, but it was still a successful product as in.... it and it's software made them money.

Microsoft may have took Marketshare but so what? XBOX has always bleed money out of every orifice and they hide it behind other revenue streams. This is why they are so desperate to dominate PC now.

Nintendo projected 50m sales of GCs by end of 2005, yet only sold 21.7m by 2006, talk about being a successful product lol. Making a tiny profit doesn't make a "successful product" when it was clear that Nintendo did not intend GC to make a tiny profit for them.

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
Was the GameCube profitable? Yes and No.
Five year summary

Overall, the GameCube business was profitable thanks to the sales of first party software. If we were to speak specifically on hardware, the GameCube was not very profitable, and that’s partially because Nintendo was regularly forced to slash the price to stay competitive. Unlike the Wii, which made a profit per unit sold on day one, the GameCube lost money on each unit sold. But when you compare GameCube’s losses to the Xbox’s losses, the GameCube’s losses seem very insignificant and minor for the most part.

On August 31st, 2001, one month before GameCube’s launch, Peter Main told an interviewer, “We expect to incur a small loss on the GameCube hardware initially, and you’re right that it hasn’t been our habit in the past but we expect it to turn okay early next year.” That same year, Merrill Lynch said Nintendo would lose 2350 Yen (£14) on every GameCube sold, but it was a small amount compared to how much money other consoles were losing.

Nintendo spokesman Hiroshi Imanish told Reuters on January 2002 that GameCube’s costs of production and distribution per unit were higher than the machine’s sales price. The goal was to bring the company’s business back into the black. `We are discussing making GameCubes in China,” said Imanishi.

By April 2002, CNN reported that Nintendo was losing about $20 per GameCube sold while Microsoft was losing $100 for every Xbox sold.

Only six months after the North American launch, the GameCube would receive a price cut to $150. On May 20th, 2002, Nintendo’s George Harrison told USA Today, “At about $149, Nintendo will roughly break even on sales of each GameCube,” Harrison said. “The company has kept manufacturing costs lower by not offering an installed DVD player on the GameCube like its rival consoles.”

One year later, the sales of GameCube would reach a new low, and they were cutting into Nintendo’s profitability. On November 2003, Nintendo reported a $26 million loss in the first half of its fiscal year due to weak sales of its GameCube console. Sales were estimated at roughly $2 billion, and Nintendo blamed the strengthening of the yen for hurting overseas income. Investors became worried that Nintendo was having trouble getting rid of its excessive inventory of GameCube consoles before Christmas.

Eventually the console’s price had reached a new low price of $99 to make it a much more compulsive purchase for consumers. In 2004, Nintendo’s Perrin Kaplan confirmed to IGN that GameCube’s sales have improved, but it was still losing money on each unit sold.

“I would say that our losses are really negligible. It’s such a small amount. Plus with the amount of software that’s being sold we’re still definitely in a solid profit situation. We’re not in the position that I know that Microsoft has been in with the loss Xbox hardware,” said Kaplan

Toward the end of 2004, Japanese newspaper, Kabushiki Shimbun, revealed that Nintendo was losing ¥20 billion ($180.8m) each year on Nintendo hardware. Because of these losses, the company decided to reduce that loss by reusing production plants for future hardware.

Doesn't sound like making of successful product is it?
