I understand that motion control has become unpopular as of late but Nintendo should have spent more resources continuing to develop games for that control scheme rather than ditching it in favor of a new tablet controller that eschewed everything they had developed with the Wii.
At the end of the day, if you just want the same old thing we've been getting out of every Playstation and Xbox since inception then Nintendo isn't really for you in the first place (although I agree that as traditional consoles go the GCN was a fantastic one)...
and innovation for innovation sake is a terrible idea, as much as i like nintendo ( been with them since day 1 as i said before ) NX is going to flop if they don't change this is facts. There is a reason WiiU is the worst selling nintendo console of all time and Wii even though sold a lot more consoles was one of the lowest selling software aka game console for them as well near identical to WiiU ( as well for various other reasons );there is a reason also why a lot of people call Wii "dust collector" Its been a downhill spiral for the company and you got to be blinded by fanboy'ism if you don't agree with these facts at the very least.
Don't get me wrong im all for them changing the wheel, but if you try 2 times and don't succeed a third time won't be a charm specially with a lot of their competition, this isn't 1990's when they only had to worry about sega anymore.
there are only so many passes people can give nintendo, pride seem to be getting the better of them.
If i was working for nintendo or had power to change anything id:
1)compete with sony/xbox graphics wise, nintendo used to be power house in old days up to gamecube as i said before and this nonsense of nintendo never competed with graphics/power only existed starting with the Wii.
2)fix online play, and bring it up to today's standard.
3)make console easy to code for under format that helps developers out
4)games, games, games, they need to bring back third party support if they have games like (wishful thinking):
-super mario rpg 2
-new metroid ( a good one not the new federation crap or other M )
new IP's of any kind
these are small examples of the many things they can make to bring people back to them. Now imagine playing all your nintendo games on top of being able to play your AAA third party titles at the same time nintendo will kill it. Sony and microsoft would be worried if this happened.Edited by KingAlkaiser - 9/28/16 at 12:52am
