This is the big one. Only once AMD releases a high-end, competitive product will the GTX 1080 price drop to a reasonable level... of course, once that happens, we should have a product that is cheaper, faster, runs cooler, and uses less power than the GTX 1080.
Expect about 2-3 generations of video cards to drop before the GTX 1080 costs less than $300 used. At that point, the GTX 1080 will be playing second fiddle to something better.Edited by Mad Pistol - 7/27/16 at 7:35pm
