I upgraded to Windows 10 pretty much when it came out (I like it). I came from a Windows 8 Pro install (got it through my school, have legit key, etc). My question is this: Can I use the Windows 8 Pro key to do a clean install of Windows 8 Pro on a different computer while keeping Windows 10 on my primary computer? Or is the Windows 8 key attached to my Windows 10 install in some way?
No, your Windows 8 key cannot be used on another computer. If it is an OEM license, it is tied to the motherboard onto which it was first installed. If it's a retail license, then you can transfer it from your current computer to a different one, but since you've upgraded to Windows 10, you can't do that either as far as I can tell.

It's from DreamSpark. I've got no expectation of being able to do it (and if it's something I shouldn't be asking here, I apologize). I'm just curious
Is your question just about putting a Windows 10 onto some PC, without activation? You can do that without using a key. The installation program doesn't require you to enter anything on that particular screen.
