maximus viii gene boot_device LED and qcode 99

Hey guys

I recently put together a new rig.

6700k
maximus viii gene
1080 fe
32 gb tridentz
1tb 850 evo
700 w silverstone sfx psu

Ive had it running since Sunday evening (little under 2 days)

Today I shut it down to put my desk set up back together and upon rebooting had no input to my monitor.

qcode after booting showing A0 which usually means its good to go booting to windows from my limited experience.

Shut down and tried again a few times with no change.

Shut down and reset cmos using the onboard button. Now still no post or display, but qcode is 99 and the boot_device status LED stays on.

I'm removed RAM and tried 1 stick at a time in each of the dimms which didnt change anything.

When the power button is pushed everything spins up, but I get no post, 99 qcode, and boot_device status led.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

First thing, make sure no socket pins is damaged, and try to reseat the CPU, also try without the GPU.

Would the CPU / socket be an issue if Ive booted it succesfully in the past and had windows and whatnot installed as well?

Same goes for the GPU.

Sorry for being difficult, its water cooled so Im trying my best to not have to dismantle unnecessarily.

So, try to clear CMOS, remove button battery for a few minutes (press the power button without any power to the mobo to drain out the caps), you can also try to flash the bios with bios flashback. Finally try with only 1 ram stick. Make sure your watercooling system is not leaking (maybe a short occured).

So Ive reset the CMOS a couple times and removed RAM and such.

I was trying to flash it with USB flashback yesterday, but it was erroring and just going to a solid light after a couple seconds. And Im pretty sure I was doing everything correctly with that. File named M8G.CAP on a fat32 drive and I made sure I was using the right port several times.

Its definitely not leaking, it had been running for a couple days before hand and I had beenc hecking for leaks pretty religiously.
