Why does it matter to what they perform like clock to clock, if the 1080 will always be like 400-600 mhz higher in actual usage?

I find stuff that isn't related to real usage somewhat useless tongue.gif

This does not come as a surprise. Nvidia hit a goldmine with maxwells efficiency so it would be silly of them to move away from that model. After all, Pascal is just maxwell with DP cores and 16nm.

In other news, my 3770K is about the same as a 2500K if I downclock it to about 3Ghz.

On a serious note, it is somewhat interesting data, but ultimately useless.

So basically on same tflops there is no change in performance, i.e. the architecture has the same tflop/fps performance as its predecessor? When has that happened before?

stupid comparison. only clock frequency.........doh.gif
its like My P4 Northwood 3200 is the same as the i7 6850k on 3200MHz...doh.gif
The fact of these young generation does not know even compared some pc hw.. just babbling about how it expensive nvidia but to establish a viable company for the production of graphical cards managed only one company in the world. AMD stagger all the time..

So wake up thumb.gif

Yeah I have to agree. Jim has done some really good video's before but this video is junk.
