You could just go down to home depot or ACE or whatever and buy the 3 dollars worth of screws necessary...

edit: In fact, you are gonna need a 4mm socket anyway, so might as well wait til you get the block in, then just drive over there and get the correct screws and the 4mm socket.

After all they are both made of the same material (aluminium). I normally go for black but am considering the nickel version but want to know if there is any difference (apart from the nickel plated is more expensive)

I see the black in-stock but are you seeing a nickel (EK-FC Titan X Pascal Backplate - Nickel.) in-stock already?

Does EVGA High bandwidth SLI bridge works with EK block?
Man WTH EK I just read you can not use their link system with these blocks. WTH not! For those with SLI this blows.

The chance of me finding black screws of the exact length needed are next to none, which means rigging it up with washers. I'd like to avoid that with don't exact length screws.

The only difference is in the look....they perform exactly the same. One is black anodized and the other one is nickel plated with a shiny look (not mirror chrome).

Yes it's normal. the link system refers to our older type of multi GPU connector like this one

But our current Terminal bridge type like the one below is working fine. thumb.gif

Well I've stuck to my roots and bought a black backplate, don't think nickel would look too good in my case.

perfect length screws.

And if you don't have any of those tools already, you really should get them, all come in handy in tons of applications.
