Is It Possible to do Fresh Install 'Free Upgrade Win 10' into New SSD ?

First sorry for my poor english.

here's a problem:

My Original OS is come from Win 7 Professional 64 bit (from my Academic/MSDNAA ), and then I successfully upgrade it into Win 10 Pro 64bit. Have been use that fully activated win 10 on my machine for years now without problems.

Now, I Want to Move my 'Fully Activated Win 10 Pro' from HDD into brand New SSD.

Do you prefer Fresh Clean install, or Via Cloning/Imaging? to migrate OS to SSD?

If i choose a clean install/clone/image, Does my activated OS will be gone because moving OS to new SSD?

Use Belarc Advisor and grab your Windows 10 key from it before doing anything. Then you can clean install from the SSD and it may or may not ask for a product key. If it doesn't ask, you're fine and if it does ask enter the product key you wrote down from Belarc Advisor. It should activate with no problems.

1% chance it will fail activation, just contact MS support and tell them your hard drive died and you replaced it with an SSD and you need to get it activated. You might have to not only provide your 10 key, but also your original 7 key.

from what I have figured out (if someone can verify), M$ has made serials cloud based. So, if you set up a new system, and sign in, your serial is automatically applied to your new system OS. I am part of the fast-ring, and that is how it works.. I upgraded to a new SSD too, and I just signed in, and it verified everything.

You just need to install W10 on your drive in the computer and it will automatically activate. Don't wipe the other drive until the SSD is activated if you don't want to take any chance.

Just download a copy of windows installer, install it, and it will auto activate as long as you use the same motherboard. When it ask for the key before installation, just skip it.

when I rebuilt my system I did a fresh install and just entered my windows 8.1 key that I used to upgrade, when I looked it up before doing the clean install apparently the key used for upgrade can continue to activate the previous product but also count as a windows 10 key.
Also depending on the version you purchased it carries much of the same eula so with my retail windows 8.1 key I can carry the key to new systems as long as it's not still activated on an old one just for reference for anyone looking to upgrade their motherboards while using windows 10.

No need to enter serial, it will remember your motherboard if it is previously activated. Well if you have a retail key you gotta keep track of it, dont lose it.

As far as I know, Win10 keys are linked to our motherboards, not other hardware.
