Interesting, I bought 2 970s, 2 980s, and 2 980Tis, but I only got one email (for the 980s).

Well played nvidia, well played. Taking trolling to the next level. Hope everyone is happy that they got a petty 30 dollars for a graphics card that's almost 2 years old.

I bought a 970 from Newegg and I didn't get any email. And the link to Newegg blog about the lawsuit is now dead.

Let's not roll down this tangent too far now. When people are wronged, they deserve some compensation. It's their right to deny it, not yours to shame it out of their reach. More importantly, this will leave a bitter taste in NVIDIA'S mouth about the next lie they are going to pull.

It is definitely a mistake on neweggs part. But even so, you'll have people complaining to newegg support wanting that money anyways even though they aren't entitled to it. I'm not shaming anything. Just pointing out how little it takes for people to get excited and forgive/forget.
