Yes there was a participation announcement about a year ago when it first started. There was one on the law firm i linked to's website; as well as one for the subsequent ~3 class actions that other firms started. However, all of the class actions that came after decided to merge with the class action that i was listed as plaintiff in since there can only be one class action for that issue and we all decided to share the case amongst all the firms. I can't say for sure but there SHOULD have been an announcement page for the entire conglomerate class action sometime in the past 6 months or so.

In all fairness, i don't think Newegg is actually just "writing them wrong". I got TWO emails from them, one said 970, the other said 980. Kinda weird.

So NVIDIA has a much more efficient arch. Why did they have to lie? I got an aging 980 ti here that would be even further along in Vulkan and Dx12 if they didn't lie. Why are we trying to justify a lie?

Got an email from newegg
Quote:
AMD R9 Notice sent in Error

You recently received an email from us regarding a class action lawsuit related to an AMD-based product that you purchased. This email was sent in error as AMD is not involved in such lawsuit. We apologize for any misunderstanding this may have caused.

If you have any questions regarding the information provided in this email, please don't hesitate to contact Newegg Customer Service through one of the convenient contact methods provided here.

Sincerely,
Your Newegg Customer Support Team

Sounds fair.....I didn't feel Nvidia should have helped me pay for switching to AMD anyway.

Thanks Newegg. Guess I'll have to return the imaginary steak I had at that upscale restaurant last week because of this. tongue.gif
