This benchmarks are good for troubleshooting, too.

I agree. In fact any benchmark is the world is fine and fair(*to some extent) when you compare old AMD vs Newer AMD or Old Nvidia vs newer Nvidia.
My saying of 3Dmark already being obsolete is due to the fact it supports very limited DirectX 12 or Vulkan's primary rendering features.

*Since latest 3Dmark has been created to support only two command queues in DX12/Vulkan. Even comparing GCN 1st gen to GCN 3rd/4th will not be a good way to measure those GPUs since later GCNs support higher number of command queues and buffer. Just my thoughts.

Noted.

BTW, just upgraded my Win7 cloned drive to Win 10. After the install, AMD driver went from Crimson 16.1 to AMD Firepro. Got 16.7.2 in a USB drive, so I installed that. Everything running well except my Ethernet needs new driver. Wifi works.

I find Unigine Valley and Furmark much more useful for troubleshooting... 3DMark is just bloatware these days.

They release drivers super quick now. I wonder what's the best method to uninstall old driver and install new drivers today with Crimson. Do you guys uninstall everything including Vulkan, Raptr, Play.tv or just uninstall the driver only?

There is a legitimate issue with 3dmark Timespy and multi gpu. It was stated to be a driver side issue supposedly. My guess is it will never get fixed(priority wise even if it could). It's a shame because my quadfire FuryX would be doing way better if it was fixed. I'd love to represent for AMD on the leader boards but it's really hard to do with one leg. mad.gif

At first this was very viable for me, but last few times i tried to do that, i ended up with the driver i previously had installed after reboot. Uninstalling old version and installing new version is the only option that works for me.

I've only had to use DDU once the past year or so, I always install over the old ones.
