Double bay reservoir filling question

Thread Starter
Hey guys, quick question regarding a double bay reservoir, would there be any issue with using a rear inlet as a fill point with maybe a L connection and then a tube higher then the reservoir itself?.

The only issue I can think of is maybe air bleeding but I could tip the whole thing forwards and fill it could I not?

That should work just fine, filled my dual bay res in that manner many a times now.

Just takes a bit more time to bleed air maybe but other than that will be fine. I always have my rads higher than my fill point, it's not an issue.

yeah it works if you tip it as you fill it but it is a pita to be honest. You've either got to pour so slow that air can exchange while you pour or pour a bit and stop and repeat a thousand times rolleyes.gif
I had my xspc bay res with its "top" port on the back (rotated the entire unit 90°) and used a 90 and a couple extensions. It worked but took me an hour to fill the damn thing
you can barely see the fillport coming out the front of the case, sorry its a pretty bad shot

I had the xspc dual bay pump rez combo. I just used koolance quick disconnects on the back of the rez so I could just pop it out and fill when I needed.

Same here except using Aquacomputer bay res. Easiest solution for bay res. Otherwise you get into having to have an on/off with a extended tube for filling or something similar. It doesnt seem like your first idea would be so bad; for the very first fill you'll be thinking "this is perfect". And then the first time you need to do any kind of maintenance youll be upset you configured it that way.
