Why is Das and Corsair quality so different if they both use Cherry keys?

So I just switched from a Das keyboard to a Corsair K70, both use Cherry MX Blue switches except that the Corsairs are LED. I even checked under the keys and they look pretty similar.

Things I have noticed:

1) Different travel distance to bottoming out, K70 is a bit shorter.

2) ****ty spacebar on the K70

3) K70 feels less refined, more like a Razer green switch

4) just noticed this now and has prompted this post, the K70 is noisey, not with the tapping, but when releasing the keys there is an annoying ringing sound such as from a spring.

Both switches are labelled "made in Germany".

The only difference is the Das keyboard I think is made in Germany and the K70 is made in China.

Well my Das wont fit in the Lapdog.

I dunno whats wrong with a keyboard when the switches are the same, it doesnt make sense.

Some other pointless questions:

Why are Gigabyte motherboards and crappy Dell OEM's so different if they both use the same chipset?

Why are mcdonald's burgers and Five Guys so different if they both use beef?

The switches aren't the only things that make a keyboard a keyboard. Everything from the logic board to the housing should be taken into account.

Having said that, it's not like Corsair keyboards are awful or anything. Just don't go Razer.

1. Might depend on keycap
2. Depends on keycap, Corsair is know as "premium cost but not so premium quality" and also uses nonstandard bottom.
3,4. Just because they're both Cherry MX switches of the same color doesn't mean that they're the same. Quality may vary between batches (the recent ones since 2013 have been poor ish. This is why mechkb enthusiasts greatly value "vintage MX" switches. The feel of the switches also differs over time as they become worn in as the contact points of the plastic- sliding part and the housing gets polished from repeated use.

In my experience, how the keyboard case is built has a big impact on the sound.
The inclination of the keyboard matters for the feel.

BTW. The brand "Das Keyboard" belongs to a US company and the keyboards are made in east Asia just like everything else...

This, the switches are designed in Germany but Das has been all Asia manufactured for several years now.
