Yes thanks boredgunner but I could not enjoy it, it is hard for me. I like more C&C, Star Craft and Warhammer 40k kind of style

Always a shooter fan.

You missed your half life then smile.gif
There are real time strategy games when you basically command an army and use different tactics and weapons to defeat your enemy .

Here are some very good rts games you should check:

- Command & Conquer (has many editions and versions)
- Company of Heroes
- Warhammer 40,000
- Star Craft I and II
- Warcraft III

The howitzer artillery in company of heroes was just devastating !!

Yep. I used to be a shooter fan like him, and then I took an arrow in the knee got into RPGs and now Total War. RPGs are still #1 for me but Total War's take on RTS isn't too far behind.

It seems most RTS games either focus on combat or building bases/civilizations, with Total War being one of few that has a lot of complexity in both. The campaign map where the strategy, ruling, diplomacy, building, and majority of micromanaging take place, is basically a TBS game (turn-based strategy) while battles are real-time.

RTS is one of the most diverse genres so there's a good chance one will find a franchise they like.

RTS games have a steeper learning curve, is harder to monetize & don't push graphics as hard. Think that's the primary reason. fps/rpg are easy to get in, exciting to watch, demand a lot more of gaming hardware & prepherials (144hz monitors, keyboards, mouse etc). Did I mention that if you lose you can't blame teammates rolleyes.gif ?

Look at how SC2 is doing on Twitch compared to CS or League and you will see where the difference is. There are people that love watching SC2 live streams(like myself) but far larger amount of people watch the FPS/RPG streams.

Maybe its not the exact RTS game youre looking for but check Lambda Wars, its free on Steam and if you like Half-Life universe then it is something fresh, but again the game isnt some AAA, it is a mod as far as i remember.
