[Various] New Pokémon Go app update actually REMOVES two key features - Page 2

With $35 million in revenue after just the first 2 weeks it is a shame that Niantic seems to be running it into the ground.

The possible $3 billion revenue in 2 years, estimated in this article http://heavy.com/games/2016/07/pokemon-go-revenue-money-profit-how-much-made-make-is-making-spent-store-items-poke-balls-nintendo/, seems like a joke now.

The game is too easy and it's more grindy than most Chinese / Korean MMORPGs. lachen.gif

Aside from that I live in a quiet suburban area where there are TWO Pokestops within 10 miles of me. I'm not going to drive 10 minutes for 2 Pokeballs.
When you compare where myself and many others are at you realize how geographically unfair the game is. Most people here just buy their own Pokeballs, especially after the update.

I mean this is ridiculous....(Sydney, Australia)

Hopefully they bring back the distance and direction pokemon are. The shutting down of the 3rd party trackers is a good thing. People should be playing the game for it's intended spirit: get your butt off the couch and go walk and explore throughout your day while playing pokemon. They need to crack down more on those that spoof GPS and play from the comfort of their own home, ruining the image of the game that was to take people outside and not sit on their computers playing the game on twitch as if it were a regular Nintendo pokemon game.

Again, whatever it takes to get the game back to it's intended spirit, the better. Damn GPS spoofers ruin it with trackers, as everyone will follow suit and get all of the pokemon in a week and kill the game off because there would be no challenge or effort required.

Had 2 gyms and 5 pokestops in my park. They killed it. Now nobody even care. I think they sow that most people would finish the game after 3 months of play and they want this to last for years.

Obviously some people don't have pokestops nearby so the game isn't fair to people in rural areas at all, Also less pokemons here and additionally less lure pokestops.

The spoofers are ran with a hide plugin on rooted android if both the root as well as the spoofer is hidden what can they do to detect cheaters. Besides that they already have a big distance jump tumeout.

I never saw those footprints working U was just aimlessly riding around eventually losing the legendary (omastar). The game needs turn based player to player battles not those lame as hell gymbattles.

not only that, but you could track poke'mon by location on the nearby chart with top left being closest and bottom right being furthest. When you got them close enough the 3 footprint became a 2, and from that point they were <600m away.

they had an optional update that broke it a few weeks back, but if you put it off it worked fine. Until about 2 weeks ago when the game stopped working if not updated, and at that point it no longer worked for anyone. 3 step glitch is what it is refereed to above.

I started playing on July 12th, within the first few days the tracking system no longer worked for me.

I'm level 21 and have noticed no uptick in pokemon fleeing. They do seem to come in waves though.

Your quality of throw matters more than what ball you throw from what I can tell. Last night I had a 1128 tangela get out of 4 ultra balls, I had no more great balls, got an excellent throw with the first regular pokeball and caught it.

With no more pokevision, and still no tracking it's quite frustrating, especially since they changed a lot of spawn points. But my most frustrating experience is when it can't find my GPS location, which happens all the time. Then it will "find" it, and it shows me several blocks away from where I actually am.

Removing footsteps because they're broken, and removing battery saver because it causes the game to freeze are the worst "fixes" I've ever seen. The game is slowing down tremendously at this level, and it's really starting to feel like niantic is an awful developer. They need to hire the people from the silphroad to help, people there have written code that would fix the step bug and offered it to niantic with no response. To me it feels as though they are completely separated from the community
