Just got a new laptop, should I exchange it?

Hello all, I just bought a new laptop for occasional gaming (world of tanks, CS GO, Fallout 4) and I saw today there is another laptop for $100 more with better specs and I'm looking for a few opinions if it's worth it or not. I just got an Acer on Newegg for $600 with an i5 6200u, GTX 950m GDDR5 (I've read it's close to the performance of the 960m), 8gb ddr4 memory, 128gb SSD and 1tb Hdd. The laptop that is $100 is an MSI with similar specs but has an i5 6300hq and a GTX 960m. Should I keep the Acer or get the MSI? Thank you for any feedback.

If you're happy to spend the extra $100 I'd go with the upgrade. the cpu and gpu upgrade should be worth it even if its a small bump... moar powah!

Thank you for your response. I like it, but I'm nervous if it will run battlefield 1 or not. Any idea?

A lot plays in to the screen resolution. What's the screen res on your laptop (and again for the one you want to upgrade to)?

Both are 1080p. About to fire up BF4 to see how it runs that. I've read the 950m with gddr5 is pretty much an under clocked 960m, not sure if that's correct or not

Sorry, didn't see the second part. The other laptop has an i5 6300hq and a gtx 960m. This laptop has an i5 6200u and gtx 950m gddr5. Both are 1080p, 1tb hard drive 128gb SSD and 8gb ddr4. Just ran bf4 on high at 1080 and got about 40fps average

All you get is a big boost in cpu performance. 6300hq is quad core 6200u is dual core. 960m and 950m is same thing. 950m is just underclocked

consider their screen type and quality too before you upgrade buy as well as the case.
