Steam has gotten better over the years. Offline is what is most important to me. While it always has been a feature, and had only a few problems, lately it has been flawless. I usually I only go online when I get a new game or I hear about an update I want. It is cleaner and easier to use too, which is nice. And honestly, having all my games in one spot is nicer than I ever thought it would be. I even brought over games that are smarter to leave stand alone because of convenience. Games like KSP, Kerbal Space Program, which updates normally break your games mods, which usually breaks your saves. Just so I can have everything organized, and if I want to update, or not, it just a few clicks.
Now TCO has me looking at skins. Might give the one he suggested a try. Usually dont bother with them, but I wanna check out this Dreamy Fluid Response thing. Sounds trippy
