Ima wait for $250 980 ti.

Wait another year or more, this April I sold a 3 year used 780(no Ti) for $250. once old X80/80Ti price go below $350 they tend to stay around $300 longer than you think.

You don't squeeze in a 1080ti, you sell exactly this card as 1080 Ti when that need arises(currently no need, maybe Q1 next year due to Vega), then sell hot clocked full chip GP102 as Titan X black(performance gap should be like that between Titan X OG and 980Ti) then.

That's the card I will buy and finally be back to a single gpu. Right now this card as a single is still not enough. This card should have been branded the 1080Ti and been $800-850. Lol at $1200

It is possible they could reclaim failed Titan XP's at product engineering and refuse them as the 1080Ti in the months to come.

Overpriced for some, and for others not at all. If somebody works a nice job; like lets say some of my welding buddies, this card is a few days work if that.

All depends on the individuals position.

I could see them doing that. They might just stick with the full 12GB of VRAM, unless they want to match the VRAM count for the 1060 (which I don't think they would), or do some 970 memory config (also doubt).

Still imo its meh to each of they own..Most people will buy it then catch feelings when the gtx 1080Ti drops for cheaper for sim performance...We just went though this with the titan/980Ti and history will repeat its self again

Laughable as any other Titan with the ~80Ti in a few months down the road.

Now I'm trying to guess how many times I'll be able to reuse exactly the same message in the coming years.

The card isn't a good value but the performance increase is a lot more than 15-20%. OC to OC, the numbers in the Hexus benchmark for Division show a 40%+ increase

http://hexus.net/media/uploaded/2016/8/5dcbbe8b-eb70-4865-9f64-b9de8b77f442.png

The reviewer mentioned on OCUK, that his card was overclocked to 1950 and that is around the same out of the box clock as the 1080 FTW.

That may not be the norm but you're looking at like 30-35% on average, which was expected over 1080.

Basically it's fair to call the card a disappointment in pricing but on performance it's around the same jumps as all other Titans, don't know why people expected more.

They didn't send out review units and the SLI review showed a 4K result but said that they saw nearly no difference in 4K between OC'd 1080s in SLI vs. the Titan Xs in SLI and that is why they swapped everything over to the 5k, so that there is actual difference.
