Nope, not something I pay attention to when things are rolling 60 FPS on a 140 PPI monitor(screenshot maybe but I don't spend hours examining a screenshot looking for aliases to justify a $1200 GPU), and my optometrist would like a word with you. Ethusiast forum != spend $600 more to turn on most resource heavy AA possible to satisfy IQ OCD, you are straying into audiophile category of OCD overspending there.

While I don't want to derail this thread further, it must be said that aliasing is still very much present without AA at 4k on my 28" monitor. Depending on the game, some are just bad. You notice this during 60fps+ gameplay as frame rate has nothing to obviously do with it. I run plenty of older games with 8x SSAA at 4k. Yup, no aliasing at that point. Others 4x SSAA, others less. More modern titles get MSAA and the ones my gpu can't handle get no AA. It is still a problem at this resolution. I'm in no rush to replace my 290x either, so it's certainly not 'IQ OCD' as you put it for another, but just the reality of it. Nothing takes me more out of a game than seeing shimmering or aliasing during gameplay.

size matters:

Wow I think this card is performing better than people thought. Not upset at all about the price of it. Quite a jump from a 1080 imo.

I agree, I am happy with the price I paid. I went from 680 > Titan > Titan Black > Titan X Maxwell > Titan XP. Looking at past reviews, this is the biggest jump yet for me, by quite a significant margin.

Looking back at it, I don't even know why I bought a Titan Black. Now that was a waste of $1000, it was barely faster. rolleyes.gif

For the record, this card isn't power limited with the 20% Power Limit overhead. It is voltage limited.

Thanks. thumb.gif

I would have liked to post a few professional benchmarks but with an 8-5 job and just receiving the card on Monday night, I just didn't have the time. Two nights up till 3AM wasn't fun and now tonight will be another as the RX 470 review gets completed. rolleyes.gif

Still not sure about if I should get the Titan X, I have GTX 980ti Matrix SLI for 3440x1440p, I can almost get 100 FPS in every game, so it does not seem worth it to upgrade. I could sell my GPUs for around £300-£400 each, however that still makes it a £400 upgrade. It seems looking at 3DMark that I can easily beat a Titan X (stock) so if the game has a good SLI profile, I should be able to beat the Titan X, even when overclocked. I still want it though, if not, I will just get GTX 1080ti SLI (if it comes out) or wait for Volta

I have a single 980 Ti and still at 1440p but gonna order this one when I get home I think. Should be a good 70-80% above my current GPU. So far I'm liking what this card can do and think it's right time to join the Titans club.
