I am coming from a single 670, I think the jump will be pretty good.

coming from a GTX 690, I really love it but it was time to upgrade with my new build. I think that this upgrade will be worth it for me. Paid 1000.00 for a GTX690 3-4 years ago so paying 1200.00 for this is not asking to much. At least I keep telling my self that! lol

There is nothing to be good or surprised.

I dont upgrade PC often. The last I did was in early 2009 and I went all out on a GTX 295 (It was a beast back den), I literally almost bought the best I got in my local store back den. The first Core I7 (LGA 1366) and a velociRaptor 300GB with 500GB HDD. SSD wasnt available at my store back den (Intel X-25 E had to bring with whopping US$1500?).

Over time somehow as I gain more knowledge I start to change my view and I started on my current desktop based more on perf-per-dollar emphasis. Squeezing out the best while paying for the least. This is my current build from 2012. GTX 670 with 3770k and a 120gb Vertex SSD. (Yes using it right now). Now I am going all out again for performance.

If it does seem familiar, I have sort of followed Nvidia trend: From Absolute performance to Best efficiency, cooler, yet faster, back to Absolute performance. (analogous to Titan X -> 1080 -> TXP)

"4K" on it's own is meaningless when talking about aliasing or the need for antialiasing.

Your statement "the higher the resolution the less impact AA has on visual fidelity" is only true if the display size is always the same. Think about it.

Well... there are no 27" 4k monitors bro.

His statement ring true, because most 4k monitors are bigger. You can sit farther away...  & who compares a 27" to a 40", other than to make a blanket statement.

Not only that, most here played back in the 640 x 480 era...  jaggies were the norm, just look at doom. And jaggies at 4k don't bother people as much. That is why many say AA is just not needed anymore at that point...
