Not really. It's a good 2560x1440 144Hz, 3440x1440 100Hz, 4K 60 Hz card. The difference at 1440p is probably CPU limited. Under DX12 it will be as fast as it's under 4K.

Overclock the cpu and see how it fare...

From earlier runmor it is mention even the 6950x cpu will even bottleneck at stock speed.

For gaming, 6950X gets wrecked by 6700K at the same clocks.

I'd like to see a Titan XP get bottlenecked by a 6700K @ 5ghz tongue.gif

A 6950x does not get wrecked by a 6700k at the same clocks.
5 minute and 15 seconds mark.

Depends on the game. Give me the 5GHz 6700K and Crysis, and I'll show you a CPU bottleneck! biggrin.gif But yes, in modern games that aren't bound on two threads a 5GHz 6700K + Titan XP would probably be a pretty balanced system.

If you are CPU bottlenecked I severely question what you are doing in 2016 buying a $1,200 dollar GPU for your 1080p or less monitor.
Games do scale to 12-16 threads with diminishing returns though

Even a 4.4ghz 5960X can slightly beat a 4.6ghz 5820K in Crysis 3 and 4.6ghz 6700K/3000 beat a 4.6ghz 5820K/3200

Other than Crysis 3, which games are scaling to that many threads?
