[Various] Titan X Benchmarks - Page 64

However if you want that wine you have to pay $800 because someone else is willing to pay that.

Wine does keep longer though so just buying it isn't like buying a Titan, but buying a Titan X is a better value than actually opening an $800 bottle of wine.

We can bemoan GPUs becoming mainstream such that prices are affected by this kind of market, but you cannot convince people to not pay the high prices with any kind of "value" arguments.

If Nvidia Estates Winery took the same grapes you'd find in a $10 bottle of Yellow Tail Shiraz, bottled it, stuck a fancy label on it, and then charged $999 for a bottle, every legitimate wine enthusiast and wine reviewer in the world would forever boycott it. Of course, some morons would buy it just for it's expensive price tag to show off to their equally moronic and superficial friends, but anyone with a brain would know what's up and Nvidia Estates Winery would go up in flames quick.

A GPU is not a bottle of wine biggrin.gif

(sorry for my error post i edited it its ok now)
Hi guys! I have a titan x pascal oc , core+205 and mem +700 100% stable and i7 4790k oc 4.5ghz. Do i need a better speed ram than 1600 to play at 4k gaming AT 60fps? But if yes i will have to change my motherboard too, because my asus h97-plus, is not able to use memory more than 1600mhz , its only overclock cpu. I cant find a bios mod for the board to allow 1600+ ram , so im not sure it worth buying new board and 32gb of ddr3 at 2400mhz if the performance in 4k gaming is not better at all or like 2-3%.

Im playing in 4k in all games. i have 60+fps in most game. Sometime but its RARE, i got fps drop or stuttering in a few games, nothing too bad, doesnt happen often at all. Witcher3 and rise of tonb raider have a few fps drop or stutteting, but i got 60+fps withe these games. Witcher3 with no haiwork and no AA , others settings are mostly to maximum quality. I get 60fps most of time. I play with vsync , it play so much better and no tearing, but i have a few fps drop or stuttering, but not often at all.

But i still have 32gb DDR3 kingston 1600mhz value ram. 11CL

With 32gb ddr3 at 2400mhz , will i get better fps OR less fps drop OR less stuttering in 4k gaming?

Thanks for answer im short of money now, titan x pascal was so expensive, i dont want to waste money for ram and new board if it doesnt make any difference in gaming at 4k resolution

Thanks for answer guys , its really appreciated

Some links of ram benchmark with differents speed, thanks for your opinions:( the first link seem to show no fps difference in different speed ram at 2k gaming in nearly all games thumbsdownsmileyanim.gif

Get new mobo with DDR4 @ 4200mhz

will need new cpu aswell but will be worth it if you want the best performance.

Lol, sure, after just spending $1200 on a graphics card, go ahead and spend another $600 for a new CPU, $400 for a new mobo, and $150 for some DDR4 memory! If you want to be considered a true enthusiast anyway...

Sorry, but i dont want to insult you guys. I dont care being a real enthousiat or not. I dont have much money left, i cant buy a new cpu. And youre the expert not me.

My only option is to buy a z97 board with 16-32gb of ddr3 at 2400mhz or faster speed.

I cant buy a new cpu too. Im short of money, if it doesnt worth it, i wont buy a new board and new ram

You missed the /s! I was being sarcastic. As if everybody can just up and replace their entire system at the drop of a hat just to suit the $1200 video card they just bought...

You should have stuck with a 980 Ti or 1080. Better combo with your CPU.
