Looking for Bluetooth Earbuds

Hello,

I recently destroyed a pair of ear buds while doing yard work. I was shoveling and the shovel caught on the ear buds cable. Painful for my ears, but horrible for the headphones. The cable connection is no longer stable and the left side does not have the same level of sound. I will be replacing the pair with Sennheiser CX 300B MK II, because I use the in-ears at work. I can't use my over-the-head headphones (Sennheiser HD 558) at work because my hair keeps to shape of the earmuffs and the band.

To avoid further cable destruction, I started looking at the Bluetooth earbud options. I saw a couple of pairs that I liked, but I can't find any reputable reviews on the subject. However, I'm not too versed on the subject and I wanted the opinion of experts. Can you please recommend me a pair?

  1. Budget: Around the 100$ CAD.
  2. Audio Use: Rock, Blues, Folk, Rap, Podcasts.
  3. Preferences: Bluetooth connection, 5 hour battery life (optional)
  4. Connection: The headphones will be paired with a Nexus 6 and a laptop via Bluetooth.
  5. User: Work around the house (yard work, snow shoveling, etc.), bus commute, office work.
  6. Location: Ontario, Canada

I like the Phaiser BHS-730. It's $36 USD, but not sure why it's insanely expensive in the Canadian Amazon store.

Features I like:
  • Cords do not kink
  • Minimal cord noise
  • Battery lasts 4-5 hours
  • Magnetic ends attach, so that it doesn't fall from your neck if you are exercising or doing yard work
  • 7 different tips included, foam one is my favorite
  • Carrying case can be handy
  • Optimal range is within 20-30 feet of device
  • Sound quality is decent for the price, especially if you have access to Viper4Android and/or Neutron Music Player
  • Bass is really strong (stark contrast to my Sennheiser HD 598)
  • Can take wet conditions and sweat pretty well, just make sure the micro USB port is sealed up

Cons:
  • Mic is average quality
  • While the 3-button controls are easy to use, the added weight on the right side may bother you
  • Foam tips may only last 1-2 months before you need to get replacements

I don't have many negative things to say about this product and I've been using it almost everyday for the last 3-4 months.

Wow, the price difference is massive frown.gif If it was in the 30$ price range like on the US site, I wouldn't mind ordering them just to try them out but they're asking for 130$ CAD (our dollar is not that worthless).
