Need help with upgrading my build to play Battlefield 1 & GTA V at great settings

Thread Starter
Willing to spend $500. I think at minimum I need an SSD. It might not improve game performance but currently my HDD is really old and slow. I use my PC a lot so I would like a faster experience from the SSD. Hopefully a 500GB one. Do you guys have any other recommendations for BF1 performance? Also what do you think about my PSU? When I first built this in 2012 someone told me it's not a good PSU.

My build:

Case: Cooler Master HAF912 Mid Tower
Motherboard: ASRock P67 Extreme4 Gen3 LGA 1155
CPU: Intel Core i5 2500K LGA 1155
GPU: MSI N660 TF 2GD5/OC GeForce GTX 660 2GB 192-Bit GDDR5
RAM: CORSAIR Vengeance LP 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)
PSU: Cooler Master Extreme Power Plus 700W
Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
OS: Windows 10

You could use a new video card, first and foremost. A GTX 1060 or RX 480 would suit your needs if you're playing at 1920x1080 or something similar. The only problem is those cards are always out of stock. At least GTX 1060's ship fairly quickly.

As far as SSDs, I don't think you can do better than a refurbished Crucial M500 480GB for $94.99. If you'd prefer new, you can get a SanDisk X400 512GB for $124.99.

For power supplies, I'd probably get the Corsair RMx 550W for $89.99. Comes with a $20 mail-in rebate as well.

Why you should not buy a Cooler Master Extreme Power Plus / Tomahawk
Your PSU is god awful and need to go into the nearest dumpster ASAP

As said already a Corsair RMx or the EVGA SuperNova G2/P2
Those two are light years better then that god awful turd of a PSU you have now.
