Ignorant and old way of thinking. I have had ZERO.... lemme say it again ZERO... and again ZERO.... Issues with SLI since I bought my 980 Ti SLI at launch along with a G-Sync monitor. I traded them for 1080's in SLI still no problem.. So what exactly are you talking about?

I had no driver issues with any of the AMD cards I owned.

Therefore AMD drivers have no issues.

He's probably like me... I used to run SLI back in the 8800GT days, that was a proper pain. When it worked it was beautiful. When it didn't... Oh lord almighty.

Still, multi GPUs have come a long way, from both companies. I'd like to try again, preferably without my money being the one being spent :p

I know you're being sarcastic, but I haven't had any troubles with this HD 6950 or the HD 5870 that preceded it (the 5870 itself, completely different story, although I blame Sapphire for that).

I didn't with nVidia either, for all it's worth. Single or dual-headed.

Only sarcastic about my second sentence.

I actually had no issue with R9 290 CF, beside the fact that scaling is about 60-70% in NFS.

Crazy how a 2Ghz GTX 1060 almost matches the FPS of 1.2Ghz R9 290 CF in NFS at 4k.

Also, upgrade your 6950 already.

I am not saying there are not issues. I read about them all the time, I included that I have a g-sync monitor. An extra variable that may be what is solving all of my issues. But I have played enough games to say that I have not encountered an issue in a while. Last I had were GTX680's and I remember cursing at my screen during far cry 3, then I went to 7970 xfire and had issues, added a third 7970 and it fixed the stuttering (3 cards was the trick for AMD, wish I knew why). Anyways to the point, that was a very cut and dry statement assuming that I said there "were no issues because I had none". Lawyers are very good at this lingo meant to attack credibility in front of peers. Regardless, use your law degree to get yourself a gsync monitor and tell me if I am right? thumb.gif

Oh boy... where do I even start? I think good question to start is how many different games do you actually play? I (not bragging) have over 350 games I bought on steam and none of them are Indie crap just regular games that I bought over the last 6-7 years. Do you wanna guess the % of them that support SLI with good scaling?

Another factor on how useless SLI is the fact that to often games come out without SLI support.

Just recent games released without SLI support: Fallout 4, Doom, Total War Warhammer DX12, SC2 Legacy of the Void, Division, and any DX12 game etc..

This month August we have 3 Huge releases: No Mans Sky, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, World of Warcraft Legion.

NONE of this games support SLI. Good Game Well Played in my book.

Also Finishing move here is 2 of headlines from Nvidia SLI forum I sow on the first page:
The Division SLI profile is BROKEN - Massive pc freezings when SLI on
XCOM 2 SLI temporarily disables when units take action

SLI is (in my humble opinion) for people that play benchmarks and brag about numbers.

Two years ago, i bought aftermarket GTX 970's for 350 each. 2016 = 1070's for 459 each. This is the reason why I hate it when people try to justify the price of the Titan series. Performance is the only thing that's supposed to increase significantly, not price. 1200$ "top tier" GPU's makes it "okay", or "normal" for the mid-range GPU's to be gradually priced higher.

No one is worried about how you spend your money; however, your support is inflating prices. Meh.... i'm probably wasting my time lol tongue.gif

You too... Your finishing move is weak, I played division without a single hitch in SLI. I actually typed alot more than erased it all.. I guess I will call myself defeated and go play my broken games... Sorry that system isn't working out for you.
