GTX 1070 not that far from OCed GTX 1060.

Therefore GTX 1060 is pretty much the same as TitanX.

Considering your using an i5 with a motherboard that's 5 years old.

I doubt you would see a difference. It's all bottle necked, it's very old.

Yeah, probably 10fps in every game anyways.

Might as well just use integrated grahpics.

I was talking about their naming scheme. Officially the new card is called the "Nvidia Titan X", but then they left the old naming convention of the Maxwell Titan X on the actual product in two different places. You can spin it any way you like, but that is not professional of them.

Also, this is 90% a gaming card, the only thing that sets it apart is the extra VRAM, just as the previous one, and the even higher price"; I can bet with you that a lot of people with windowed cases bought / will buy one.

Why waste your money on a 1,200 GPU when the gtx 1080Ti will come cheaper with simularz performance.....Even a gtx 1080 is better value right now but if you really was smart u would wait on the 1080 TI thats for sure...For the price hike the gtx titan x brings its NOT worth it

What if a Ti version isn't released? I mean, it's not like Nvidia has to worry about any competition right now. So, why make a card for no reason? Maybe they will in a few months, maybe not, but those buying the Titan (majority anyways) know it isn't good value for money. People buying Titans don't buy them for value, but for the performance.

For people who buy this card, having the performance TOMORROW(I think almost everyone in the owner club went with next day shipping) instead of 4-5 month from now is worth the price difference between Titan X and 1080Ti(whatever that maybe) and that $$ amount is not relevant to them given how much they spend on computer hardware every year. There is a cost to waiting and to those people that's more important that being a few hundred $$ short.

Titan is for people that have the extra money burning a hole in their pocket and don't want to put up with waiting 3-5 month. Especially this time around as Vega is estimated to be late(Q1 next year) so 1080Ti would be later in the cycle as well. When Ti drops people will complain and the Ti buyers would laugh at the Titan buyers, but most of the Titan buyers will laugh it off like they did before because they didn't have to wait and don't miss that $$ anyway.

Amd really has to have the largest performance jump between generations they have probably ever had to compete in any way in the high performance segment. Sad

Don't be naive. Nvidia sells so few of these Titans that they barely make any money out of them. Have you seen any Titan show up at the Steam hardware survey? This is just a marketing move. They wouldn't even need to sell even one to serve its purpose.

It's just maths. If you can sell a butt load of GTX 970 and get 5% of market share a card sold for three times its price but not even showing up in the stats must be something else to even bother.

Pretty much the same with 4K gaming. This forum is so much into 4K results and stuff that it doesn't seem to notice that it accounts for less than 2% (less than the pathetic 1.6% 1440p has) of players. With 0.02% growing rate. I mean... c'mon...

1080p grows at more than twice both of them combined.

Money is in the midrange at 1080p and pro market. Ppl buying high end cards amount for far less.

So keep dancing, you know who is playing.
