Ask them why that is. It's pretty easy for AMD to fix that.

2. There's a driver issue / bug, that stops R9 200, R9 300 and Fury cards from being software overclocked with voltage tweaking.
If u overclock for example a R9 290X to ~1150mhz and raise the voltage via MSI AB or Trixx by 200mv, the AMD driver will save the clock speeds u set and it will reapply them on the next start up. But it doesn't save the new voltage.

So:
U overclock the GPU with MSI AB, raise the voltage and then u run some tests, games, whatever.
Everything is fine, the overclock is 100% stable.
U restart the pc and get a black screen while windows is starting up.
Because the AMD driver saved the 1150mhz and reapplies them on startup with a stock voltage.

Doesn't matter, what settings u have in MSI AB / Trixx, because those programs wont even load up, since the PC will already have crashed while loading the drivers.

Me and some friends tried to reach out to AMD and make them aware of these issues, but they don't seem to care.

Don't want this to be too much of a rant, but it'd be cool if u could get some awareness for that stuff.

More simply put:

When a true Overclock UI will be released, one that has voltage control and can set fan curve for ALL gpu's, not only for the RX480 and the Wattman?

LOL yeah that crap is in the drivers for as long as I can remember, you do not want to enable OC in the driver they are too lazy to do it proper and mess up what ever you are trying to set via 3rd party tools.
Disable OD/WattMan.

well, since it seems you are going to have RH . . . vulkan vulkan VULKAN!

are there many/any game devs AMD is working with to use the API?

what are any existing/future extensions to get excited about?

and what's his take on if GpuOpen is being . . . .useful. i'm sure he'll say it is but HOW?

- We know of two Vega chips, Vega 10 and Vega 11. Can we expect either of these this year, or are both of them for next year?

- The Xbox One S uses TSMC's 16nm FinFET with your APUs. What are the differences between TSMC 16nm FinFET and GloFo 14nm FinFET, and why the choice of using GloFo 14nm FF over TSMC 16nm FF for Polaris?

- Will there be a Polaris chip based on TSMC's 16nm FF?

- Has it been considered to release a chip like Polaris 10 with HBM rather than GDDR5?

- What is the main limiting factor to the maximum Polaris 10 clock speed other than power and heat?

- What are the new technologies in Polaris compared to Hawaii that have not gotten much attention, but will become relevant in the near future?

- With nVidia's GameWorks being a major influence under DX11 in terms of performance for AMD GPUs, how will the same issues be prevented under DX12?

- How is the adoption of Vulkan going? Is it up to expectations or lower than you would have liked?

- It has been said that DX11 performance is less than optimal for AMD cards, because AMD has refused to support command lists. Can you comment on that?

- GCN has been used for years and despite that it's still going strong, on the surface the architecture of the competition seems to clock higher and be more power efficient. Is there a need for a complete overhaul of the GCN architecture?

- There has been a lot of controversy regarding TimeSpy and asynchronous compute. What do you think about the benchmark? Does it show the potential of GCN or is there still a lot more potential on your architecture?

- How has the adoption rate of CUDA software been after the announcement of the Boltzmann Initiative?

- AMD has been trying to improve its market share for games, but miners really liked the RX 480. Do you applaud the use of your Polaris cards for mining?

- How do you feel about nVidia's Ansel? Will there be any similar feature for AMD cards in the near future?

- Will Zen be using GloFo or TSMC?

- Are there any plans to enter the mobile space with your APUs, CPUs and/or GPUs?

- Have the Xbox One and PS4 consoles assisted in boosting PC performance and support for the AMD cards?

When realistically is mGPU Vulkan support coming out for DOOM? Classified Demon is begging for it! (AMD sponsored the 2 Fury Xs in this build)

RX 480 topic.

Why the shortage? That's not the impression that was made before launch. The amount of consumer reviews at e-tailers doesn't add up to it being sold out do to customer purchases.

Where's the AIB's? It's been 6 weeks since reference launch.

Where does the pricing stand now that the 1060 is here, in-stock more often, many AIB's to chose, ultimately cheaper at $249 for a faster GPU?

RX 470 topic.

There seems to be a better selection of these from the start, but the asking price has been higher than the RX 480. What happened here? $149 was the base price correct?

Last question

When will you let me make decisions for AMD so you can get the brand recognition and perception you deserve? AMD you offer some great and innovative offerings, you need someone to prevent the head-scratching moments that have gone along with them.
