Cooler for 6850K on a Gigabyte GA-X99P-SLI w/ GTX 1080 graphics card?

Thread Starter
Building a new system for video editing (Da Vinci Resolve), graphics (After Effects), 3D (Cinema 4D) etc.. Last one I built was in 2008. I'm trying to read and get current on components.

What would be a good water cooler to stably take the 6850K to 4.0GHz or maybe even 4.2GHz. I'd like to keep the price below $100.00 but I'll go to 150.00 for trouble free stability.
From what I'm understanding an important consideration is that the water cooler will fit correctly with the case you get? I assume that using a water cooler is easier than figuring out what big air cooler will fit in a certain case and still not block graphics card slots etc?
Thanks

Also my GPU is a GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 1080 XTREME Gaming Premium Pack Video Card (GV-N1080XTREME-8GD Premium Pack)

Just get one of the Corsair AIO coolers. Whatever case you have will determine what cooler will fit.
