Your Thoughts On 2560x1080 Ultrawide Monitors

Any of you own a monitor of this resolution? If so, how do you like it, and how is it for gaming? It may not be the best resolution, but the price for these type of monitors are much easier on the wallet.smile.gif

Let me know what you think about yours, if you have one.

Thanks!

Less stress on the GPU. I would get one but I am interested in 'moving on up' to better than 1080p. 1080p is so 2010.

what gpu are you using? Some of the lower end 1440p monitors are right around that same price point, i would go the 1440p route instead of an oddball resolution.

Yes, those 1440 monitors are nice, and I haven't ruled them out, but they are pretty expensive.redface.gif

I am upgrading to a GTX 1070 or 1080 - most likely a 1070.

If the price is right for a 1440p monitor, I will certainly go with that. Would love to see some lower prices, for sure!

What's upcoming? I know ACER is supposed to release new Predator monitors this year. I had heard a while back that Monoprice was to release a 75hz IPS monitor this year as well. Not sure how nice a Monoprice monitor would be, though.

I have my mind set on going with an ultrawide 21:9, and that's what I am looking for. Love the extra screen real estate.
