However I would also not wonder if they don't update their 3310 line anytime soon.

Amazon have cut down the prices for both deathadders globally, so I'm pretty confident Razer will announce a new version soon.

As for the Zowies, I wouldn't even consider them if they cost 60+ €, There are imo better mice out there, I seem to be the only one who hates those huano, that cable and their scroll wheel. Sensor wise they are ok, just like any other 3310, so you can expect their 3360 to perform as every other 3360 mouse, if they release it that is.headscratch.gif

Definitely there are mice better than Zowie but given that they offer a variety of shapes makes them one of the well known brands in gaming. I would even say that this is the only reason why some of us bought a Zowie mouse.

For someone like the OP who's looking for a big mouse to palm, he'll have very limited choices and Zowie will be one of them.

The replacement should defenitely better suit my big hands and my palm grip style.

I've looked at the DA chroma and found the shape very good with good quality buttons but the driver aspect puts me off.

So the Zowie EC-1A seems like the ideal choice for me, no nonsene minimal mouse except for the ugly scrollwheel and the almost outdated sensor, mushy side buttons and the shell showing off finger prints easily.

Will Zowie soon release a new EC-1A or will it take them till 2017? Or should I just look somewhere else altogether?

I think we still have a good chunk of time before it's outdated really. It still performs very solidly, and more than does the job for a lot of people. As for shapes, if you are looking for something to palm, you have the DA & EC1 obviously. You also have the Roccat Kone XTD Optical if you wanna take a look at that. Great product for massive hands, I just don't like it being $79(at least that's what it was when I last checked a few months back).

Slow n Steady wins the race in Zowie's mind. They have a fan base that is waiting the 3360 version of their line up and they will buy when it drops no matter how long it takes. I see it like this, Raz3r isn't going to let the Holiday's pass without a new DA dropping, that is just how I see it. I see them announcing by Novermber, just in time for the Holidays. When Raz3r drops it shuts down and takes a bulk of the sales, due to people who genuinely like the DA for what it is, as well as the massive massiveeeeee amount of fanboys. Maybe Zowie feels it's better to wait for Raz3r to drop and do what they do. All while preparing for early 2017 for a launch. Along with the Revel, DM1 pro S, Scream one, G200 lot's of mice are coming or are practically here that have attention. So let them die down, then come with the updated Zowie line up with design changes and fixes(we hope).

Kinda like how other artists have been doing the last few months. Everyone knew Drake was dropping an album, and pretty much everyone stayed clear except a few. You keep clear and let him dominate the charts. Instead of putting out a project and him pretty much making it obsolete cause he has all the sales and attention. Just let the inevitable happen. lol

Maybe Zowie has a plan and is being smart......or I could totally just be overthinking this.

I feel like Zowie needs to add to the choices of the mice they have. Some like the Glossy variants, so put those out for people to choose from as well. The white ec's look very good to me. Hopefully they bring some different schemes like such back to spice up what they offer.

Pretty much. We'll see how the Ec series looks with solid scrolls, the rest of the line up looks fine with the black scroll to me personally.

what does razer even have to upgrade to/with?
i doubt they're gonna board the 3360 train tbh, and no other sensor really seems like an upgrade to the 3989, and i doubt they're gonna pollute their great DA with a PTE sensor

What's the difference between the 2016 and 2014 keyboard? Updating for the sake of updating with a more recent date makes fanboys buy new products. I don't think they'll go with a 3360 either, but who knows, maybe they do, or maybe they fixed their pte sensor

i know, that was kinda my point - what gimmicks would they introduce? because i doubt it would be a new/different sensor
they've used up their tricks, you'd think. RGB, squeezed the 3988 for more CPI.. uh, what else is there? rolleyes.gif
maybe they'll go back to actual on-board memory?!1 omg

or maybe no new DA is around the corner at all

And if you're willing to spend a lot I hear AMAZING things about the G900. I love my DeathAdder though and I would recommend it as well if you end up immediately getting a 3310 mouse that isn't the EC1-A. I can't wait to get my hands on a Nixeus Revel or DM1 Pro S though.

+1 for the G900 if you can afford it. I just got it recently coming from a Steelseries Sensei and the difference is astonishing. I love this mouse the wireless is as accurate if not MORE so than my Sensei with its acceleration problems. But waiting also doesnt hurt since the longer the wait the G900 and other mice might drop in price if/when newer ones come out.

Is there any confirmation Razer is making a new Deathadder? Is it going to be the same shell and things? Any links?

No confirmation, all speculation.
