But its 24.5" and really isn't meant for anyone but the most die hard competitive player or someone who demands the smoothest experience.
Though a high end CRT would still be smoother and delay free than any of these fancy high hz monitors. An OLED 144hz monitor would be god status though, soon... soon...
I'm pretty sure as far as LCD goes, only TN will actually be fast enough to benefit from 180+ Hz. Speaking of which the upcoming ASUS PG248Q is a 24" 1080p TN monitor that has an overclock mode that goes up to 180 Hz. And then there's the 240 Hz announced.
I don't really care about beyond 120 Hz. 120 Hz + backlight strobing is so damn smooth and there is basically no motion blur at all. I haven't experienced higher than 144 Hz but I imagine the difference will be insignificant.
Speaking of CRT, I am curious as to what has smoother motion clarity; something like the FW900 (2304 x 1440 80 Hz) running at 80 FPS in a game, versus one of these 1440p 144 Hz monitors with ULMB enabled at 120 Hz (and delivering 120 FPS in a game).
