- Open Xbox app > go to config > Game DVR > Disable "Game DVR"

- disable cortana via registry

- Navigate to Settings > Devices > Mouse & Touchpad and disable the "Scroll Inactive Windows option"

- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\PolicyManager\default\ApplicationManagement\AllowGameDVR value is "0" already

- I have already disabled cortana and its web search from registry

- Did this, but I don't really feel any difference of any sorts

Not sure how these tweaks would help to get stable polling rate back, but these are surely great tweaks for people who haven't done them already.

Thanks, though.

The update reset all my NVIDIA settings. You need to change from "Optimal Power" back to "Prefer Maximum Performance".

Have already reinstalled nvidia drivers by using ddu first and checked the clean install option while installing. And I always use "Prefer Maximum Performance".

Thanks anyway.

Edit: These tweaks don't really help for unstable polling rate.

This is really weird. I have exactly the same motherboard as you do (MSI Z87-GD65 Gaming).

Did you reinstall any motherboard drivers? And which drivers have you installed from this page https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/Z87-GD65-GAMING.html#down-driver&Win10 64 ?

I'm not sure if the Update installed some drivers by itself. If it did, I got them. Otherwise I'll add my driver versions.

Probably the only one that really matters is the USB one.

It's comnnected to one of the USB 3.0's at the back. Which is this one

If not, tell me and I'll show you. smile.gif

As I've never really understood how to properly create these graphs that are always posted, what are we supposed to to?

for visualizing the issue in this thread

collect data, move the mouse in circles for 5-10 seconds, plot, select "interval vs time" from bottom left dropdown box, adjust "data point start" and "data point end" so that the beginning and end where you're moving more slowly is not shown, save image

ok, so this is my Mionix Avior 7000 set to 500Hz and I have no idea what this graph tells me/you.

So, yeah.

Also, I'm not sure if the "interaccel" influences this in any way. Could be, or could not be.

So this is quite good, right?
