Win10 Anniversary update caused unstable polling rate? - Page 7

It's the Asmedia 106x Controloler Driver that "stopped working" in the Device Manager. Deactivating and reactivating it in the Device Manager fixes that error though.
Since it has it's own IRQ anyway I'll just leave MSI off for it.

Vista wasn't really good. True.
Can't say that the Win 10 "junk" is bothering me, since the Apps I don't use get uninstalled anyway. I have also yet to encounter any of the forced updates people always complain about. Also all the other issues that people have reported. 10 is working perfectly fine for me without any hiccups or problems.

And the "spyware", I can understand why people are bothered/worried about it. On the other side I can only laugh about it. There is no real system that doesn't gather data from you. Facebook is a common example or Amazon. Or even Android. Gathering data to show you better results for products or anything. YouTube recommending other videos based on your history.
If MS wants to know that I watch Porn of category XYZ then I don't care. Now John Jack in the US knows that Jack John watches Porn XYZ. Isn't that great and useful information.

Don't get me wrong, I can understand people that are worried about confidential data. But all the other things that I always read... That's often people being a hypocrite when they are using all the other systems.

The main point is, it's a new OS which doesn't offer anything "new" to certain users or rather do it better

That's why many people won't switch yet like myself. System is stable and amazing.. I'm going to format to a UI I dislike and have to re find every tweak and deal with potential issues, possibly unsupported drivers at.. What advantage?

I tried win 10 at a friend's and hated it to be honest. I use 7 with classic theme and it's perfect and snappy. Eventually hardware won't support it and so forth and then I'll have to deal with whatever windows v15 then

Granted, this is a LTSB with nothing installed, nothing optimised, with only display driver running.

Was it better or worse before you upgraded?

Difference isn't visible at all. Here's my current W8.1 polling.
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

A lot of services are either disabled or set to manual. Second HID driver of my 303 is pretty much "banned" from installing including 4 more entries it has. CPU minimal power state is 100% too. Enterprise iso I used is also slightly stripped down.

Do you think XP has significantly better pollings than 7?
Probably. I haven't used XP in ages.

Officially you need an MSDN subscription, but, the internet is a big place thumb.gif

Thanks for the info, this ltsb enterprise edition is WAAAY more bearable than the cancerous malware of the other vertions

Glad you like it. I'm still debating whether I want to switch.

I would stay on windows 8.1 update 3 as long as possible, windows 7 sp1 if possible, but asus (my laptop) only likes win10...

Not sure how close it'll be to the real LTSB, but you can clean up Home & Pro to at least get closer to LTSB without redownloading/installing
